Rich Jones - Combat
Artist: Rich Jones
Producer: Montana Macks
Album: Callin' Shots EP
Label: Unsigned
When an emcee nicknames himself “Babe Ruthless,” you can count on him to deliver hits, right? Such is certainly the case for Rich Jones, making his Booth debut with newly-leaked EP standout Combat. Here, Montana Mack‘s ominous piano beat (complete with an intro sampled from sports/comedy classic The Sandlot) sets the stage for bars every bit as belligerent as you’d expect from the record’s title. For more, check out the Windy City spitter’s Callin’ Shots EP, released October 18, and available now online.

Sandlot intro is Classic! The beat is ok. I don't really like the first rapper's flow. The chorus is average. Second rapper was better. Still just run-of-the-mill $hit...

I can dig a song with not just a good sound, but actual content. I would like to use a statistic right here but i don't know how accurate i'd be. How many songs now adays even talk about anything.

Beat is very dope and I like the flow on both verses, but the chorus doesn't really hold my attention. Kept it in rotation though.
