If his latest feature is to be believed, Rich Boy may soon have to revise his stage name. Unreleased cut We Like It, leaked via Twitter this past Friday, finds the Alabama mainstay and singer/songwriter Rico Love so enchanted by a mysterious female that they’re willing to empty their pocketbooks to get her to take it all off. Jim Jonsin gets bodies moving with a chilly, club-ready beat packed with plenty of his signature synth burbles as Rich Boy delivers his scatterbrained tale of stunting, seduction and chemically-assisted debauchery: “Haters losin’, women choosin’, look my rims are so amusin’/ get that paper, keep it movin’, I’m so high this sh*t’s confusing.” As you’d expect, Rico Love excels in the wingman/hookman role, topping the record off with a memorable, sing-along chorus. Fans have been waiting quite a while for word on Rich Boy’s forthcoming sophomore album but, if the rapper continues turning in new material this ear-pleasing, it can’t be much longer till the gears start moving. Keep it locked to the Booth for all the latest!

I like what I've been hearing from Rich Boy here and there lately. I think Jim Jonsin made this track with the hot workd on the boards, but Rich Boy rode a nice flow on here and kept pace with the track. This is definite club-worthy material.

Anyone else agree with me in saying that Rich Boy looks like the living dead? The dude looks like a damn skeleton.
Anyways, the production on this track, as I've come to expect from Jonsin, is impressive. The verses are strong and the hook is fair. I'll put it in rotation. I would have love to see the beat build up and have a more hyped up chorus. The song is a tad too monotone. |

The production on this is tight & Rich Boy's flow suits it perfectly. Despite this, i cant see it being big on radio.

Rico combined with the production on the hook was a sick combination. Rich Boy was tolerable, though I don't think he's anything special. Solid.

Production got me excited from the jump and Rico Love turns in some catchy on-the-mic hook work, but the overall club vibe isn't something I like Rich Boy on. He excels much more in a street single avenue.
Needless to say, his sophomore album is long long overdue. Looking forward to what is next - whether or not it sounds like this. |

I feel like I'm constantly dissapointed by Rich Boy. He's a really dope emcee, I've heard it, but he seems committed to dumbing down his flow, and this is another great example.

So, this was that first-round draft beat for Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams". Jim Jonsin needs to get more varied with his rhythm patterns.
Verses aren't anything to write home about, although, Rich Boy rides the Atari-influenced synth melody properly. Combined with the catchy sing-along hook by Rico Love, it does have a certified strip-club appeal. 2.5 |

@DJ Z - Very well put. He needs to put out his next album, quick fast and in a hurry.
However, I don't think this is his best work. He HAS done better, and he WILL do better. Overall, 3 stars from me. |

I always had/have high hopes for Rich Boy and I think he can still get where he wants to go in the game. The lyrics would have sounded better on a different beat. Not bad for a dance track, but I don't think he should be rapping on this beat. It just doesn't go well together.

Rico Love made this track all by himself with his hook contribution. Rich Boy was bearable and Jim Jonsin's production was a perfect platform to help set the stage for Rico's amazing vocals.
