Ever since Rich Boy threw some Ds on his Lac in ’07, the Alabama emcee has struggled to replicate his initial success, but that hasn’t stopped him from trying. Undaunted by the poor performance of his last Booth offering S.O.C., Rich Boy is back yet again with his new single To the Floor, and if you’re looking for a hit, who better to recruit than hookmaster Lloyd and October’s very own Drake. Built around a lush beat from Polow da Don, To the Floor finds Rich Boy asking the ladies to drop their collective booties downward, albeit with lyrics that don’t always hit; he wants girls to drop it like Judge Judy? That sounds awful. While Drizzy does better, he also seems a little off his top game. Per usual the standout is Lloyd’s golden voice on the hook, but even that doesn’t feel like enough to me to transform this moderately enjoyable track into a smash hit. Then again, don’t be surprised if Rich Boy proves me wrong and pushes his upcoming album Buried Alive back into the mainstream spotlight. Lord knows he’s done it before.

A song like "Throw Some D's" had hit appeal written all over it the first time I heard it. A song like "To the Floor" is going to take multiple listens, a few opinions, and several changes of heart before I am ready to attach that same tag to it.

Rich Boy still to me is a one hit guy to me. Other than 'Throw Some D's' I can;t fit any of his other songs on my ipod. Another unseen matchup goes to waste. Sorry but dislike button clicking.

This song to me is the definition of average; it's good enough to put on your ipod, but not a track you'll be dying to put on repeat. Lloyd does a decent job on the chorus, but nothing that would cause it to smash on the radio. I see minor radio play for this. Rich Boy seems influenced by the Roscoe Dash type of rappers on the hook, and Drake comes with his usual flow, full of the quotes you're used to seeing everyone post on facebook.

Man Lloyd has been on a ton of hooks lately. This is the 2nd time I've heard this, and its really not catching on. I'm sure it will after a few more listens. After going on my rant about Drake on his feature, he proves my point.

i find this to be a very enjoyable track. the verses are decent but the Lloyd and Rich Boy combo on the chorus really makes the song. i think this has pretty big potential on radio, especially after Polow's smooth beat added to the mix.

This isnt really anything that we havent heard before...its all very formulaic...obviously Drake is on this to push this record to hit status, though I'm not sure if even Drake can do this....maybe a few more listens

Rich Boy will probalby always be know as the "Throw Some D's" guy and this song dosen't help at changing that. Lloyd was a waste and Drake was oblivious put on just to increase the chances of a hit. Sorry but Rich Boy needs to try harder if he wants to have a long career.

This track proves Rich Boy cannot stand on his own to feet in front of a mic and record a hit by himself. If this was soley a Lloyd and drake track this would have been so great. But tich Boy makes this track sound ghetto and annoying.And no, this is NOT the song of the year by ANY MEANS.

Minor regional radio play at best.
Lloyd and Polow never fail. Drake....ehhh. Not his best, but passable. Rich Boy was wack. I don't see him making another hit record for a long time. Very average. |

An ok beat, a subpar Rich Boy verse, an ok Drake verse and another great Lloyd hook? It all adds up to a pass. Rich Boy fans are always blasting me for not giving him enough respect, and I'm totally ready to give it to him, but I just don't hear it on tracks like this. Hopefully he's got better lined up for Buried Alive.

The Production is pretty smooth by Polow on this track. Rich Boy still sounds good to me. Lloyd sounds good on the chorus (as always). DRAKE hurt this track. He makes this a BANGER fo sho!

Solid track, more lounge feel than club feel, but I can definitely bob a head to it.
I'm going to have to follow suit and give it a solid middle-of-the-road rating. Nothing that gets me over-excited, but nothing that makes me turn it off. |

It's okay... No-one did anyhting amaziang. Polow and Lloyd were decent. Everything else isn't worth listening too. This is one of drake
s worse verses i've ever heard (but still ok) and rich boy was plain out garbage. |

Rich Boy is not a one hit wonder. He's a very underrated rapper. His verse on Ghetto Rich proved this to me. He's still a hitmaker who's been missing lately, but he will have another Number 1 single before he's done. And his albums are dope.
