Money Money Money. The preferred topic of both sports agents and rappers, money, is back as the centerpiece of NY rapper Red Café’s…wait, let me rephrase that…baller-turnt-rapper Red Café’s new single, the latest off his forthcoming Bad Boy debut. Produced by young Philadelphia beat smith Jahlil Beats, Money Money Money is an 808s-laced song perfect for those who routinely walk out the bank at 4 P.M. and blow their withdrawal at the club in the same night. Joining Cafe are both his label boss Diddy and frequent collaborator Fabolous, and while Red definitely holds his ground lyrically, the New York emcee’s leadoff verse is drowned out like a bad swimmer by Loso’s typically punchline-fueled closing verse, and the mogul’s middle verse about throwing “minks to the toddlers.” Classic. Long story short, this joint has what the kids are calling “swag” in its every nook and cranny and it won’t be long before Hot 97 eats it up. Who knows, it might even earn Café a title and release date for that debut album of his.

The first :17 seconds of salsa through me for a loop (a good one), but then the real beat dropped and I couldn't have been more disappointed. It's not that I don't like Red and Fab's rhyming. It's that the beat gets super corny about 1 minute into the record and Diddy's inclusion is for name value only. He adds nothing here musically.

I see this receiving some mixshow love and then falling off our collective radar.

I love FABO, but this beat just became annoying after 35 seconds... I kept on listening to see if something would catch my ear... but it didn't.

Ughhhh. Anticipation for Fab is the only reason I didn't hit stop after 30 secs. I've heard this kind of song a million times before. Rap is the only genre that puts any emphasis on wealth and materialism. Why do rappers think we care about their money? Red Cafe wasn't remotely creative or unique in tackling this played out subject.

wack

This kinda reminds me of a Bangladesh production (ala "A Millie"). The same snare drum lead into the heavy bass drop.

Red Cafe= nothing special.

Diddy = can he stop?

Fab= Highlight. As usual, especially amongst people like Diddy.

I mean, Cafe is good, but he was pretty wack in this one.

Annoying beat. Especially the "money, money, money" thing in the background.

Money money money money I'm so sick of thsi s**t money money money. it's like a verbal tic with these guys. And I can't even say the rhymes about money money money were money. Red Cafe's mediocre at best and this is far from Diddy and Loso's best.

Two stars, but I'm subtracting one as a philosophical stance. Stop the money money money talk. Just stop.

I agree with Z, i was hoping for something good with the intro, but then the real beat came in...which isn't that good anyway. It sounds like a bad copy off of Milli. Red Cafe's rhymes are alright. Fabolous was the best person here. I actually did not hear Diddy on here at all, he contributes that little. Overall, not very good. Between 2.5 and 3.

Side note: Is this song part of that "Dream Team" nonsense that Diddy, Fabolous, and Red cafe were all part of?

This beat actually does my head in...I thought I could stand it but by the time Diddy's verse came in I didn't even want to stick around for Fab....why do producers think these simplistic, repetitive beats have appeal?? Do people actually like these songs? A Milli was classic but every similar song after that is just pathetic...Go make a f#^kin proper beat stoopid

Don't hold your breath for a Red Cafe album release date or album all together. You know how diddy keeps people on the shelf... Hell, even his own group/ablum is on the shelf. You know that's gonna drop before Red Cafe. Anyway, Red Cafe is Corny as Hell! This is so weak right here. The beat could have been done a few years ago when Pharrell was rockin with Snoop. Diddy was actually better than Cafe on here! FAB was ok...not good enough to make this hot though.
