While Konvict Muzik label mates Dolla and Colby O’Donis enjoy their spots on the current Billboard Hot 100, Red Café is setting the rap scene on fire thanks to The Shakedown‘s first official single, Paper Touchin’. Anxious to make more of that paper, the Bed-Stuy native has released a remix with a few of his fellow New York paper chasers in tow. Southside Jamaica Queens’ 50 Cent, Yonkers’ Jadakiss (they’re on the same track? Behold the power of ProTools) and fellow Brooklynite Fabolous all take the world back to the rebirth of battle rap with their guest verses. The one thing that could allow Red to touch even more paper, however, is if The Shakedown gets an official release date.
Listen to Red Café's Paper Touchin' (Remix) ft. 50 Cent, Jadakiss & Fabolous More songs from Red Café
DJ Envy previewed this remix last week on YouTube. It sounded hot then and it sounds even hotter now. All four New York rappers signature an addicting East Coast sound and the production suits up well. It's great is hear Jadakiss again and Fabolous is always quality.
I'm not a big fan of Red Cafe, but this sounds HARD right here. 50 RIPS this beat (but he did say this in a mixtape already...even the chorus part). Jadakiss kills his verse too! BANGER all around!
At the rate Akon is currently churing out acts, Red Cafe better get on the ball and make this into a smash Because if he doesn't, he won't be touching any paper for a while.
Finally we have some good 50 (who’s been putting a lot of garbage lately). Jadakiss is so consistently good. I said it before: the whole D-Block (Styles P, Sheek Louch) could be a lot more famous and be touchin more paper if they wanted cuz they are (more) talented (than G-Unit), they just dont wanna go commercial. Fabolous was as good as his name, smart lyrics and with a flow I prefer rather than his usual laid back. RC was good on the original version but was outshined by the features.
THE BEAT IS HOT. BUT YOU GOT TO KEEP STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT U SAY ABOUT 50. NO MATTER WHAT HE DO . YOU HAVE SOME BAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS DUD. YOU THOUGHT JA WAS COMMING BACK . HE IS STILL NO WERE TO BE FOUND . 50 IS STILL DOING HIS THING. YOU THOUGHT WHEN GAME LEFT 50 . HE WAS GOING TO DO THIS BIG THING TO G-UNIT . U-NOT. 50 IS STILL DOING HIS THING.
LOVE OR HATE HIM . 50 LIKE JAY-Z R A BEAST . THEY JUST GET MONEY HA HA . U MAY NOT LIKE THE DUD BUT U CAN SAY THIS DUD CAN MAKE HIS MONEY . AL SO I FOR GOT G-UNOT FOR THEM HATERS HA HA HA
