The 59th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series (and the first contribution by a female artist!) comes courtesy of RAtheMC, the Strange Music up-and-comer who earned rave reader reviews for Hater Call and Get Me. On her brand new, previously-unreleased We Ridin freestyle, the Maryland femcee flows over original boardwork by Judah. RA is currently working on a forthcoming, currently-untitled mixtape project, set to hit the ‘net sometime in Fall ‘09.

You remember these stereotypes about femcees? That sound you hear coming from Maryland is these assumptions blowing right out the window!
Tech N9ne is a very powerful co-sign in underground hip-hop, and RatheMC is proving her worth in the series! Looking forward to this being the first of many ladies to show their skills in our series! (Speaking of which, isn't a certain other super-skilled female from Z's hometown supposed to spit somethin' for our series soon as well?) |

I'm not going to lie... I am not really into femcees, but she held her own. I found myself singing the chorus halfway through.

RAtheMC is my girl! I know she told me last year to hit her up after she was done for her current project for a collab. I gotta take her up on that offer. This is one of my favorite freestyles I've heard on the Booth series. Ever since the first time I heard her on this site, I felt she was going to be like the Rebirth of some real hip hop femcee classics.

Well, an amazing femcee, she sort of sounds like the old Lil' Kim except Kim has a slight softer voice otherwise this has the potential to grow on me... BANGER.
