The tension that can arise between a musician’s rootless lifestyle and a relationship back home is an oft-discussed dilemma with no one-size-fits-all solution… unless, that is, you’re lucky enough to have a significant other as low-maintenance as the girl RaSun addresses on She’s the One, a standout cut off his new Alone Again LP. As on the San Francisco native’s previous features, producer/ladies’ man Don Juan C mans the boards, serving up a smooth but upbeat piano-acoustic guitar instrumental as RaSun describes a woman who doesn’t give him grief when he returns from months on the road, but instead makes the most of the time they do have together – yep, sounds like a keeper to me. Nigerian-born, Atlanta-based singer Naira plays the female role, assuring her man, “When you come back home… I will hold you down.” RaSun’s clearly got a good thing going – will it last? And what’s the deal with that ominous album title, Alone Again? To find out, pick up a copy of his freshman set, released on New Year’s Day and available now in stores and online.

RaSun has this unattributable quality that shines through in every single one of his records. Maybe its his voice, maybe his charisma, his flow - who knows? But he has the ability to make you want to listen to his stuff on repeat.
This is a nice reggae-tinged, pop record! |

This is just a quality song. The production is really well done with all of the different instruments and RaSun sounds great. Always good tohear someone with a unique sound. Nice work.

I don't really like the song. The production overshadows the hook (can't hear)

Man, like the Beatles or pepperoni pizza, this is a great example of something other people really like, and I totally understand why, but I personally don't. Just couldn't connect with it, though it's definitely a quality track. I'll average it out to a three.

Beat sounds something that Ne-Yo would sing over....
IDK maybe it's just me?? But I also really really enjoyed the track!! Very smooth lyrics, great hook, no to overpowering vocals!! Just sit back and relax and listen to this to really get the feel for it!! |

Definitely lovin' the production with percussion driving the track and a repetitive guitar-line underneath. I hear ya @That1kid, beat is a bit overpowering but doesn't overshadow the vocals completely. Ya know what I mean?

Listening to this, I will admit I underestimated this track. The sound of the artist catches you off guard, but I must say it was a smooth cut.
