San Francisco up-and-comer RaSun may not be a familiar face in the Booth, but he certainly knows how to introduce himself—with an exclusive world premiere, of course! Addressing a lady so enchanting she’s got him half-crazy with love, he admits that, though he’s tried and tried, “I Can’t Get You Off My Mind.” A cut this romantic needs an appropriately sultry instrumental, and who better to provide one than a beatsmith named after literature’s most famous lover? Don Juan C lives up to his name, backing Ra’s Caribbean-influenced vocal stylings with mellow, meandering acoustic guitar licks and warm synth flourishes, and if the singer’s sweet nothings don’t have you swooning, then fellow CA native The Jacka‘s earnest rhymes on the back end likely will. A memorable twist on the slow-jam formula, Can’t Get You Off My Mind is set for inclusion on forthcoming LP Alone Again, which has yet to receive a release date.

The nice slow beat is kind of lacking something. The lyrics are decent and the hook is the highlight as it sounds fresh

Dude has some interesting vocals, I like the appeal of his low voice wit an accent. The production fits well with the feel of the track. The hook could have been better, maybe less distortion.

I thought the vibe and production was real smooth & chillin ... diggin dat ... his singing was cool,hook was not all that great, but I can see there is potential... Good Debut fa sho ... hope to see more work from him in the future....

The verses didn't grab me melodically... but the vocal style is cool and I'm surprised it sounded distinctive when it could easily fall under the comparison with others in the same genre. Overall, it’s good, but lacks any hit/catchy factor.

I liked it a lot, but instead of a featured rapper, I would have liked to have a smoother singer come in mix up the sound. RaSun's voice is cool, but may be a little too unique on its own.
