Kooley High member and Jamla’s very own Rapsody “...bang[s] it Out tha Truck” on a stark new leak off her forthcoming full-length. Here, the First in Flight State native’s aggressive, old-school-informed lyricism is back by the bass-bumping boardwork of AMP. Thank H.E.R. Later is set to drop June 21. In the meantime, why not check out the artist’s previous project, Return of the B-Girl, still available for free streaming and download in the Booth?

I liked the production, but the lyricism wasn't the best. Sounds too much like a bunch of other female rappers i've heard.

Is it truck or trunk?
Anything 9th Wonder cosigns (& Rapsody is on his JAMLA label), I'll at least give a shot. The PC-CDROM line kind of made me chuckle, her flow is pretty good but I think lyrically she's not near Lauryn as people are comparing her. Production on this track of course is nice, and it's enjoyable overall. |
