High-energy club cuts are never in short supply, but appropriate hip-hop for that chilled-out, post-party drive home is considerably rarer. If you’re looking for a track that perfectly captures the mellow, spacey exhaustion of early-AM hours under the glittering city lights, you’d be hard-pressed to find anything more fitting than this new single by reader-acclaimed up-and-comer Rain. Chasing the NightLife, making its world premiere right here in the Booth, finds the Carolina kid chronicling his grind-filled days and club-hopping nights in characteristically gruff verses. Though the rapper’s engaging delivery rewards repeat listens, it’s Magnedo who truly takes NightLife to the next level; wreathing Rain’s rhymes in slow-burning synths, the beatsmith crafts an intoxicating instrumental brimming with metropolitan ambience. This song is the soundtrack to my high school existence... all I did was chase the nightlife. I had to be out, doing something. Now that I am older, and wiser, I am not so quick to go out... just to go out.
As for the record, Rain does his thing. His slightly-gruff voice goes real good over the hypnotic laid back production from Magnedo. Thanks for the premiere, Mike.

Nice catchy production but I dont think Rain's gruffy voice matches with this type of song. The hook sounds kind of bad and off tune as well. Something about this song..im just not getting into it.

Rain is that dude, I've heard some of his shit, and its on point. This one has a nice melodic sound to it. I like it!

This was an overall solid track. The beat is pretty cool and Rain sounds good on it giving it that night-life vibe.

The the track big problem is it's NOT RAINS!! The track was basically stolen from Magnedo. It was a demo that was emailed out to potential buyers that Rain's ppl two tracked. That's why the hook sounds off because it wasn't suppose to be for yet. So while he spends the whole record talkin about cask someone ask him why he can't afford to pay Magnedo for this track?????
