Raheem DeVaughn - She's Single
Artist: Raheem DeVaughn
Producer: Noah "40"Shebib
Album: 368 FTW Vol. 1
Label: 368 Music Group/Mass Appeal Ent.
Lord knows it hasn’t stopped R&B singers in the past (I’m looking at you Dream), but shacking up with a good looking lady is so much easier when She’s Single, and if she’s not, she will be soon after she hears Raheem Devaughn’s new record. Making its worldwide premiere right here, right now, She’s Single joins recent Booth babymakers Hats Off and Down on Me for an almost impossibly smooth look inside Raheem’s prodigious lovelife. Produced by Drake’s production partner Noah “40” Shebib, who crafts a slowly pounding beat some might recognize as originally belonging to Lil Wayne’s Single, this time around Raheem’s near falsetto vocals absolutely light the bedroom on fire. (Metaphorically speaking, be careful not to knock over all those candles when you’re getting down to this people.) Add She’s Single to previous leaks Til the Lights Come On and 368 Killin’ Em and I think we can all agree that Raheem’s supergroup Winner’s Circle (also featuring Phil Adé, Da Phuture, Dee Boy and Stello) are going to unleash one hell of a mixtape on the world when their 368 FTW Vol. 1 drops in October.

I'd ask Lil' Wayne if he was taking notes on how its done, but since he probably doesn't get "computer room" time in prison, whats the point?
Usually, when an artist grabs an industry instrumental to craft a song, its obvious that they were never meant to go in over that beat. Such is not the case here, as DeVaughn sounds like he was meant (originally) to rock over 40's production. Great stuff. |

Not hearing autotune right away made this four stars right away. I definitely plan on throwing this on my next CD for the next after-the-club party.

Raheem absolutely killed this one. Just killed it. Nine months from now we'll be seeing an influx of babies named Raheem.
By the way, a Twitter shout out at the beginning of a slow jam? Man how times have changed. |

I thought it was a okay track for Radio Raheem. I like him on this track way better than Lil' Wayne. This is the type of vocals this track is meant for.

Starting ANY track with "follow me on twitter" -- a service i already dispise, is not a good look. Although the track does not use auto-tune, raheem doesn't really show any vocal strength of his own here. I'm not convinced that this is certified bedroom music.

Absolutely love it!!!!!! You have another hit and I wouldn't expect anything less from Mr. Right. Twitter shout out or not...will be in heavy rotation when the lights go out.

The whole flow kills from beginning to end, including a catchy chorus. The song feels great from the first playthrough!
