Radical Something - Sky Is Born
Artist: Radical Something
Producer: Radical Something
Album: SUMMERofRAD Series
Label: Unsigned
Worried that your summer’s not gonna be rad enough? If that’s your most pressing concern, then you must lead one very charmed life—and, judging by your choice in slang, you might be a time traveler from 1983. Regardless, Radical Something have got it covered with their newly-launched #SUMMERofRAD series. Making its world premiere on our front page, inaugural entry Sky Is Born finds Loggy, Josh Cocktail and DJ Big Red urging listeners to get off their posteriors and experience the world outside. The group’s own production, a blissfully mellow, acoustic guitar-led arrangement exquisitely crafted for outdoor recreation, sets the stage for verses celebrating the dope sh*t that’s right beyond your doorstep. Just in case the sun, cool breeze and greenery don’t do it for you, the crew’s mic-rocking contingent stress the many “shades of life” that can only be discovered by hitting the pavement: “Look around / In every city, every town, so much history’s embedded in the ground.” Feeling it? Then what are you waiting for—lace your kicks up and get some fresh air. And be sure to check back with the Booth for future #SUMMERofRAD cuts, dropping weekly from now through the season’s end.

Great breezy, easy-going, relaxing summer song. There is a huge market for records like this, when done right, can become summertime classics. Nice start to their series.

Not really a fan of this...Decent beat but the flow could use some work and the chorus is OK. Not garbage, but just tolerable for me...
