Despite being acquitted of underage-porn charges this past June, R. Kelly is still dealing with his fair share of problems. Currently, Kelly is battling with his longtime label, Jive, who hasn’t yet set a release date for his 12 Play series finale, 4th Quarter. In the meantime, though, the self-proclaimed “remix killa”” keeps his name in the bright lights by creating another one of his trademark R&B freestyles over fellow Chicagoan Kanye West‘s current hit single, Love Lockdown. Before pressing play, it is imperative that you understand THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR SPEAKERS; Kells garbles the Auto-Tune intentionally to better fit the mood of the freestyle. Though Kelly’s singing is a bit more natural over a Love Lockdown-type production, it is West who will be dropping his new project, 808’s & Heartbreak, on November 24.

I THINK R.KELLS SUITS THIS SORT OF STYLE NICELY,EVEN THO IT SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO KANYE THIS IS ALRITE BUT NUTHIN SPECIAL..

Kells got his head on backwards with this one, he must be bored waiting around for that album to drop. Love Lockdown is a song that should not be remixed, it's already too creative and brilliant for anyone to add to or improve.

Kellz killed the remixes last year and earlier this year. Was lookin forward to this. I think it's a lil better than the original, which I don't like... Wish Kellz didn't use the autotune. sounds too much like Kanye

ha, i guess, im kinda alone on this 1.
i actually like it pretty good. naa, it aint as good as the original, but most remixes/freestyles arent. but this as about as good as 1 could be. imma go w/ 3.75 star & round up. lol. |

I've been hearing this on late night radio and have been wondering who's been singing it. I was suprised to see Kelly singing, but I don't mind it.

I hated this fool on the track. I heard this on Kanye's blog earlier this week. He lots my complete respect when he went on BET and they asked him "Do you like teenage girls" and he asks "When you say teenage...what do you exactly mean?". That was the last straw. I was a fan and a defender of him until that happened. The official remix to this song should be way more epic with some actual relevant features that people like. 2 stars because the original is 5 stars, and this still has some Kanye in it.

Yea that was a bad slip up for a person trying to refresh his image. I will swallow my opinion on that topic... This song is really good with him on it though. I enjoyed his remix to this one.

he probably sounds better then Ye cause he's a singer, thats what he does Ye's a rapper...agree that the original is too hot to be touched and a damn classic..i still rock to love lockdown at least once a day...original got 5 stars but this gets an average 3

I'm not crazy for this song but R Kelly has an excellent voice so everything he sings is good to me. He sounds even better than Kanye West! I'll donwload this song, it will grow on me ;)

rkelly smashed flashing lights and in my opinion he had this song locked down too...his R&B freestyle on this fits perfect..i heard APATHY smashed this song but his rapping over that type of production seemed out of place ..its just that type of song
