I won’t front, every time Robert Sylvester Kelly releases a new track I get more excited than Fat Joe at a taco truck. After the insanity that was Trapped in a Closet, I realized that a Kells track could be about absolutely anything, and he doesn’t disappoint on his new single Echo, a track ostensibly about convincing your lady to take the day off so you can spend some quality time in bed. Produced by Infinity and R. Kelly himself, Echo has a Dream-esque, slowly winding, appropriately echoing pace that climaxes on the chorus…a chorus that consists largely of Kelly yodeling. Let me repeat that. R Kelly’s…new track…features him yodeling…like a Swiss mountain climber. And what’s even crazier, it still sounds pretty damn good, and yes, kind of sexy. There is literally nothing this man can’t and won’t do. Echo is off the Pied Piper’s upcoming Untitled new album, set to drop on December 1. Wow I really liked this a lot. The production really set the relaxing mood and there were parts of this song that were really catchy and other parts where his voice was real smooth. Damn, this was a pretty good track.

No one knows how to do baby-makin music like R. Kelly. Dream, Trey, and Mario can all try but at the end R. Kelly just dominates.
Ironically, I can hear The-Dream influence which is the main reason why I can't get into the song. Less of that and I would loved it. It's still good but just not one of his best. |

Infinity and Kellz need to form a relationship similar to Tricky and Dream. I mean, have you heard "Bangin the Headboard"?!?!? This song is so damn sexy, the yodeling works. I love this, damn, I was gonna bootleg "Untitled", now I might buy it!

Kelly is a genuis, and I mean that literally. He can take anything, including some yodeling, and transform it into a smooth r&b jam. Hence one of my favorite kells songs of all time, sex in the kitchen, about having sex in the kitchen. Echo's another great addition to the Kelly legacy.

Pretty good. Definitely an unexpected, but unsurprising twist from R. Kelly with the yodeling and how well it works. I typically don't like slowed down beats/songs, but the few that I do are most always from R. Kelly.

@Nathan and Homeboy, remember Dream's influence is from R. Kelly. Since he's been on radio, ppl tend to think it'st the other way around. Anywho, this jam is the ish. This is the level all these RnB signers are trying to attain. What happened to a review for Kells new single "Religious?"

As for the song, the production snapped & has a infectious swing-beat that replays in my head long afta Kellz stops yodelling i mean sanging. And the vocals - well, Kellz is on the track (yodelling AND...lol) need i say more? Still on repeatz afta the fifth spin so this 1 goez straight into the BANGER category.. insanity indeed. This track is right on the verge of the brink of being a CLASSIC imo, just thort id put that out there. |

Except the yodeling, there's nothing new... or that haven't been done better before... by R. Kelly himself!
R. Kelly songs (about sex) used to be worth listening even if you (a guy) were not with a lady by your side. Not a chance I'll listen to this on my iphone. (What happened to songs like "Best Friend", "Real Talk", "I'm a Flirt"? It was just 2 years ago...) |

Cool, sweet, smooth, a typical Kelly song. Kinda reminds me of Gorilla Zoe's Echo, but I like this a little better. This might be my favorite Kelly song since the Ignition Remix.

Not bad, bout time he put down Auto-tune and starts yodeling?? haha
Naw, this sounds good, has a nice melody and the yodeling is what takes it to next level. You can't say it sounds something like that's on radio currently. But more importantly, finally I get to hear a SOLO Kells' track that has the potential to be on the radio. |

Radio will probably eat it up though!! And lol at Nathan's fat joe line!! That1kid a taco truck is a truck with a kitchen in it that sells tacos and tortas and other good food!! Might sound nasty since it comes from a truck but it's some of the best mexican food you will find!! |

This track is hawt! On-point. Kellz = Musical genius! He can take the craziest, most unexpected things & make em work for a song, & turn it into a hit. One of the reasons he's the King of R&B. Absolutely luv this song & him. And, he KILLED the yodeling!
But, this is not the 1st song he's yodeled on.... There was also >("Get Up On A Room" - "R." album) Not as much as this song tho. |

This song has been stuck in my head... "Sex in the morning, sex all day." Every line he sings rhymes with the preceeding line. Same with "Sex in the evening, Sex all night." I mean the harmony is just ridiculous. The passion in his voice is undeniable.
