For every big-name artist, there is at least one member of the opposite sex who develops a huge “celebrity crush,” attending each and every show and entertaining fantasies of being with their idol. Though most of these dreams never come true, the finally-acquitted R. Kelly wants to buck that trend; on this new record, he fantasizes about picking up his #1 Fan so he and she can make the sweet love he’s described in so many of his songs. Setting the mood is veteran producer Los Da Mystro (best known for helping make J. Holiday‘s Bed), who strikes a perfect balance between Kells’ legendary slow-jam feel and his own recent penchant for high-energy beats. Jive Records has been quiet about the status of R. Kelly’s forthcoming album, but if #1 Fan ends up on the tracklist, it would be a great single selection—it might even help the singer win back a few fans turned off by his legal troubles.

weak. i've heard a couple of leaked tracks, and this one just doesn't cut it. i mean, jockin The Dream, really?? I wish he had put out Rewind That with Flo Rida, a much better track. But, I am dying for some Kellz...

Sounds kinda like taunting to me... but its a cool song. Kels is probably my favorite R&B singer, so I normally always enjoy his tracks. In rotation for now, but it'll probly grow on me and become a Banger.

I think Z said what he did because that Kells is a very hard man to reach, and as big a name as he is, he'll likely NEVER find time to step inside the Booth for an interview (I'm sure Z hopes he would sometime, though)

One thing people don't realize is R. Kelly's ability to be versatile and adjust/adapt to any era. He prob could have left the autotone off but he doesn't heavily depend on it. This is a banger. I think people are yearning for those soulfoul anything that comes out doesn't really met their expectations. and Z that 18 year old comment was a below the belt jab. What has Rob ever done to you?

I would LOVE to interview Mr. Kelly. However, every time I have reached out to his people (or label reps) they have ignored me. I don't mind when someone gets back to us and says their artist is "busy" or "unavailable at this time," but we don't even get a reply! So, Robert, if you are reading this: E-mail me!
