Originally scheduled to drop sometime this summer, R. Kelly’s new studio album, 12 Play: Fourth Quarter, has been forced into a holding pattern. Despite having rolled out the ultra-catchy Hair Braider, Kelly’s recent legal issues (for which he has been acquitted of all charges) forced his label, Jive Records, to pause their full-scale promotional operation. At any rate, with plenty of work to be done, the Pied Piper of R&B has leaked a potential new single, entitled Playas Get Lonely. Mirroring the vocal arrangement, melody and production style of Lloyd’s Change Your Life, Kelly details the unglamorous reality that even the biggest mack daddy of all can feel a sense of abandonment from time to time. Poor Robert-- if only there were more females interested in spending time with him.
When I First heard this i was like i heard dis beat somewhere but cant remember. Then i read this and was like o yeah that one Lloyd song. This Beat is hot!! Hook is good
the PERV BURGLAR has done it again, its a hit, very nice vocals ( its kells) the beat is good, does sound like sumthing lloyd would do, but im feeling it, it get good rotation n my playlist, give it a 3 out of 5
No mole yall! KEllz is a genious! I always said regardless of what he was acused of, greatness always shines through sickness, mistakes and even crimes. His music speaks for itself. This song is well written, different for his normal style, which is as diverse as anyone in music well produced and nicely recorded and mastered. Congratz Kellz on another classic track.
I feel this a little. Like the feel of this. Not bad. Five songs I like today. The music was MUCH better today then yesterday because there was not one song I liked yesterday but today MUCH better. Booth you stepped up today. 3.5 stars
oh yeah this is MY SONG! R Kelly always does his thing. Even though his songs aren't that good sometimes, I love his tone colour and this is really important to me! Banger!!
I give it a five because it's a different type of song for R. Kelly. He's always done mature music but none as of late (aside from the Havin a Baby track on Double Up). Come on donjonjon, you can show your sensitive side
Yeah, this song is pretty tight. I give it 3 stars for now but I can see this growing on me or the opposite, getting old fast. Surprisingly good, but not quite feelin the hook after listening to it once.
This song is real different for Kells for a single. The beat is tite. Its good to see he is a free man. Hopefully tp 4 is as good as the 1 and 2. 3 was ok but the worst out of all them.
Patty your too funny. R. Kelly is always dropping bangers. Great job on the production...kudos to the mystery beat maestro. I don't know if I've ever heard Kelly sing over a beat like this; he needs to do more like this. Don't get me wrong, I am a hardcore fan of the smooth R&B tracks but this is different to me.
i use to like this foolish little man...even with aquital i still have him in the same category as micheal jackson...if i wasnt with a lady friend this morning this song wouldnt have been put on...but it was typical r-kelly music...he is talented...
jesavail02 it's a pleasure you find me funny...but why? What have I written this time? auhauhauh! Well I guess people say I'm funny also in real life ;)
The beat is mad hot, i dont think this kind of song fits Kells that well though. It gets boring after the first verse, maybe he could have included another singer to spice it up a bit?
