This past Tuesday, Mariah Carey released her highly-anticipated 11th studio album, E=MC². The album’s lead single, Touch My Body—as the whole world pretty much knows by now—reached #1 at Billboard and in turn, thrust the talented singer past Elvis for the most #1 singles of all-time. Though it is impossible to call anyone an equal to Mariah, especially in a wide open field of male R&B singers, Mr. R. Kelly comes pretty damn close. So, it is without further babbling that we bring you Kells’ freestyle rendition of Touch My Body. It’s the same beat by Tricky Stewart and the same Mariah ad libs in the background, but a whole new spin (that only R. Kelly could provide) on body touchin‘.
Okay. First, what the HECK is R. Kelly thinking with the hair color! Looks like he's smoking on that "mmmmmmmm mmmmuaahh"!. He snapped on the freestyle vocals. This may start a new trend that I actually coined back in '05. "Freestyle Singing". Maybe more singers will start to do this.

The difference between Mariah Carey and R. Kelly is that R. Kelly wouldn't need help to kill this beat. However, he does use The Dream's verse as a template but he improves on it and kills it.
I really enjoy stuff like this; really fun to listen to. I'm always so entertained by the stuff Kels puts out (except that stupid closet series). Does this hold a light to the original? Ofcourse not, you can't take on a song that mariah owns like that. Hence, enjoyable, but forgettable.

Nice... Notice how other male singers bits off Kells ad libs that he's mastered. The hair color is to promote his "Hair Braider" song. Jamie Foxx did something similar when he had a tattoo on his head to promote JarHead. Let's see how many other singers will start Freestyle singing... he did it on the Same Girl Remix as well.

I like the remix, it isn't too bad. For me, this is one of R. Kelly's better guest appearances as of late. I don't understand why everyone has to have a gimick these days, though. He's an established artist, why the hell did he dye his hair blonde? Things like this will put me off him as an artist.
