Quite Nyce - This Is My Life
Producer: Dox
Album: Hello My Name Is Quite Nyce Mixtape
Label: ProTalent
Though the New England scene has produced many a Booth favorite, neither Quite Nyce nor Seek of popular Massachusetts duo RADix have been featured on our front page—until now. Like so many group alumni before him, Nyce is striking out on his own with the August 25th release of solo debut Through My Eyes. On This Is My Life, the latest leak off the LP’s official “prequel”mixtape, the emcee gives listeners a taste of what he has to offer on the solo tip. Those patient enough to make it through the 55-second intro will be rewarded; Nyce’s mile-a-minute flow, along with Dox‘s old-school, Premo/Statik Selektah-inspired beat make this track a can’t-miss. If Nyce’s nice bars leave you hungry for more lyrically-driven jams, be sure to download Hello My Name Is Quite Nyce on August 18th, a week prior to Through My Eyes’ drop date.

Intro was a little long but I dug this once it got started. His flow was sick on here. I've never heard of him but it was an impressive showing. Dox came with a tight production too. 3.5, I'll round up just because...

Believe it or not, but if you look back over the course of music's history, long intros have always been a staple. The reason why artists start flowing two seconds into the song these days is because nobody has any patience and because there is a true lack for musical appreciation. If Em, Jay, or T.I. had a 50 second intro would you complain? C'mon now. Biggie had minute long intros! Say what?
Nice introduction to the Booth. An artist who is opening up to his prospective listeners; more artists should try this approach. |

There's too much of a buildup, so much so that you'll probably think this is an interlude and not an actual song. BUT Once it kicks in it actually turned out really well... He came hot lyrically and flow-wise on this ... 3.5

He kinda reminds me of Mickey Facts as far as his tone. This is a soulful track. I wasn't bothered by the long intro. I like this.

@Z - "The reason why artists start flowing two seconds into the song these days is because nobody has any patience and because there is a true lack for musical appreciation." - I didn't even think about that. It's amazing how times change man.
