Whether it is due to inflated egos or merely a desire to fly on their own, virtually every band in history has seen its members record solo albums at some point in their collective career. A perfect example of such is veteran R&B group, 112. Last year, Daron Jones left the group to focus on a solo career, but the others (e.g., Slim) maintained their ties in spite of various side projects. One of the loyal three is Q. Parker, who, like Slim on I Ain’t Scared, is out to Holla Atcha woman. However, unlike Slim, plans to wait for the hotel to do what he do. While some ladies might have forgotten Q, current heartthrob Plies joins along for the ride. Some solo careers are just not meant to be (hey, Nicole Scherzinger), but as Q clearly shows others are well worth the effort.
I don't know. I like the group as an entity and not as individuals. Personally, I thought Slim was the best singer in the group. I am not saying the other members cannot sing because they can. This song is has no orginal substance, it sounds like all the other shorty-watcha-ya-numba.
Frankly i thought Q was the best singer out of 112..so i think he will blow up better than slim's annoying voice and frankly better than Daron...what's Mike doing??
I think every single person on 112 can really sing; even though their styles are sometimes different from traditional singers. Plies sounds good on here too. This could be on radio for sure!
This is cool....bout time he came out with something (assuming this is the first)...should be able to stand alone... Am I the only one that thinks Slim sounds aweful???
112 sound best as a quartet. None of them will see the success that they saw as a group during their 90's heyday. This, however, is catchy. Nice to see Plies get a call before Teddy.
This has been the best solo 112 song so-far, but it is still average. I think all the 112 guys have recently shown that they should get back together again, otherwise they better step up their game cause songs like these aint going nowhere!
The voacls are by no means impressive, but Plies does his thing. The beat is real heavy and seems to drowned out the vocals at times, but this is definitely a radio song. The mix of R&B and Hip-Hop has proven to be a good collaboration.
After having the privilege of creating a mix CD for Q. (the Real Talk mixtape) I can honestly say that this solo project is a force to be reckoned with. The album so far has some very promising club and ballad tracks that show Q. Parker as a solo artist will stand strong. If you ever liked a 112 song, you’ll love Q.’s project.
I ALWAYS LIKED HIM WHILE EVERY BODY ELSE WUS GOIN 4 THA LIL SKINNY LEAD SINGER I WUS ALWAYS 4 HIM SO IM GLADE TO SEE HIM DO HIS THANG... THIS SONG THOUGH IM NOT FEELIN' HE BEEN IN THE GAME TOO LONG 4 SOMETHING LIKE THIS. THIS BEAT IS ST8 TRASH TOO. THIS SOUND REAL TACKY LIKE SOME NEW KID WHO DONT KNOW N E BETTER... AND PLIES AINT MAKE IT NO BETTER... DONT LIKE THIS!
Q killed dis i'm glad he left Q and Slim held that group togther Like pleasure p did with pretty ricky. people think that they can depend on one or two people two keep a group going but it never works when the people holding dat group up figure out dat they running shit
