“What do you want to be when you grow up?”  By the time a person reaches the age of 22 (college graduation), he or she has probably been asked that question over 500 times.  For singers Ashley, Jessica, Melody, Kimberly and Nicole, however, the answer to that question has always been the same.  Known by millions of teenage girls across the country, The Pussycat Dolls wanted to be famous.  In 2005, the group got their wish as their self-titled debut reached multi-platinum status.  Later this month, the pop-sensations will release their new album, Doll Domination, and, hoping for the same success, they have released lead single, When I Grow Up.  Just over two weeks from the release, the song has been remixed by producer Darkchild, and along for the ride are “Remix Creator” Diddy, R. City, and Fatman Scoop.

I have nothing against the Pussycat Dolls, but this song never clicked for me. Rock city did a good job overall, but Diddy should stop rapping because his flow is weak and annoying. I don't see this remix getting that many plays in the clubs.

2/5

Hate the song, but the ladies in the club love it. I have to admit that the original was annoyingly catchy. The beat is extremely hot though, Darkchild took it to another level. The bits and bites throughout the track was pretty hot. Unfortunately, this remix as a whole just doesn't work.

I don't understand all this hate against this remix...maybe I'm the only one who likes it! I consider the original song very average, I like its beat, the verses and the bridge in which Nicole sings alone but not chorus which is really annoying to me (and the chorus is the main part of a song)! In this version the rappin isn't the best, that's true, but I'm feeling the renewed beat...it makes me move in my chair lol! So to me it's in rotation
Ps: if I was a Pussycat Doll I would be tired of being invisible...Pussycat Dolls are Nicole Scherzinger, the other girls aren't necessary. Let's hope they share the profit at least lol!

WHy is this teeny bob, girl power bullshit on here anyway?
the original is way more catchy then this..but this beat is fire for sure...last night i heard them do this @*#$! live version of this song for about 10 seconds and these chicks specially nicole sound like someone is skinning them alive...how did they get a deal? wait..i think i know...get on ur knees and suck it...only reason i give it a 1 is cause of the beat otherwise id give it a -6 if i could

Royalty sorry for jumpin in but u got a really bad opinion about girls lol! Nicole Scherzinger is really good at singing live, I heard her sing slow songs (see on YouTube I'll Be Your Love for example), so she hadn't to dance and could concentrate better. She was amazing, good voice and perfect technique...maybe they are trashy because their label wanted them to have this image who knows

I thought the purpose of this site was to rate songs based on if they would get play in a club or on the radio? As a DJ you play a lot of songs in the club that you don't really like, it is part of the job. I don't really like PCD, but this remix would get played in my club. Listening to this on a computer instead of in a club is completely different. Fatman Scoop always turns up the heat in a club if mixed in correctly. Yes, Ditty should have stayed off the mic, but it could have been worst lol. Anyway I don't think rather or not they had to get on their knees for their deal has anything to do with this song... Not a great remix but decent for the club.

The remix with lil wayne is better because wayne saves the song lol i like it though. If wayne was still on it It would get a 5 though.
