Considering the heavy influence of Hell Hath No Fury-era Neptunes on the Odd Future frontman’s production style, it was only a matter of time before Tyler, the Creator landed on a joint with Pusha T, Chad and Pharrell. Bound to happen or no, though, Trouble on My Mind is a cross-generational collab well worth its prodigious online buzz. Premiered Friday via RedBullUSA.com, this newly-leaked album cut finds the illustrious production duo mixing queasy synths, brass and gritty percussion as the Clipse member delivers some characteristically deadpan lyrical fire, blending high-rolling braggadocio with ‘hood ambiance: “That’s a whole ‘nother bezel, the carbon Audemar / That’s a whole ‘nother metal, but still keep it ghetto / Behind the scenes pull strings like Gepetto / the gun blow steam, whistle like a tea kettle.” And Mr. Tron Cat? He spends a lot of time discussing his d*ck, with breaks to name-drop Bushwick Bill and play on the now-famous opening lines from Yonkers. Pusha is raw over anything Neptunes, but Tyler is starting to grow on me. Nothing he is says, or how he says, is quite shocking any more, but the two emcees seemed to have reasonably good chemistry.

This song is pretty dope. I like Tyler more when he spits 8 or 16 more than the 7 minute pity parties he has on his tapes

This track bangs. Its about times that the Neptunes came back with some classic production.
I dont feel like Tyler really ads much to this track though. It might have been better as a Pusha T solo track.

It's good. Tyler's voice always catches my attention with how deep and clear it is, his lyrics continue to be.. different, but he has good flow and it fits well with this track

The only highlight here for me was Tyler, The Neptunes are the most overated producers imo. Just don't enjoy 95% of their sounds. Pusha was alright but Tyler really came forward with it.
