Pusha T - Raid
Featuring: 50 Cent
Producer: The Neptunes
Album: Fear of God
Label: Re-Up Gang Records/G.O.O.D Music
When Runaway dropped and I realized Pusha T was the newest signee to Mr. West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, the first thing I thought (after, why didn’t ‘Ye just sign Malice too?), was that this was a big move in the right direction for one of the game’s top lyricists. With every new guest verse and the recently leaked My God Pusha had us all salivating for his next body of work, and with this new record Raid, he’s continuing to build hype around his forthcoming mixtape, Fear of God, scheduled to drop March 21. On Raid the Clipse alum lyrically reminisces on how his days of slangin’ in VA have ultimately turned into a dream life, while G-Unit boss 50 Cent jumps on board to spit on how the only thing that’s changed about him is the money. On the production tip the piano-driven Neptunes track harkens back to the Lord Willin’ days, as does Pharrell’s hook of “ferocious AK’s” that are “sprayin’ on you roaches.” Ultimately it’s more than enough to have me amped for Push’s mixtape and eventual album - are you feeling it too?

Very smooth track. I like the keys in the background. Pusha T sounds good and Neptunes 'raided' this track--pun intended. I wonder if Raid's stock will go up with this song. I don't think 50 cent hurts or improves this track.

Very solid track. I like the production, and Pusha T drops nice verses. 50 Cent and Pharell don't really impress me, but there's nothing wrong with them either. Good enough to make me wanna check out that mixtape.

I love the piano slash jazzy sound with the nice Pharrell. Pusha T kills this beat man. Amazingly too 50 is spitting heat again.

I expected a lot more, but this is far from disappointing duet.

Yes Yes...F*cks Yes. That piano ladened production goes hard. Pusha and 50 went equally hard. My only concern is that Malice should have been on this track. Maybe I am just use to hearing the entire clipse family.

It sounded mediocre, Push and 50 were not at their best.

its a smooth track to vibe to. Nice production too. Pusha is nice, but i like the Clipse as a group... Wonder if when Malice made that statement about his lyrics were entertainment and he never sold drugs made them go their seperate ways musically???? #imjustsaying

This is a Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER! No doubt... They both Kill this beat... Neptunes lays it down. This is just shy of classic status, but could easily be a 5-star joint. Good work!

I like it, but I wanna hear more tracks like MY GOD and COOK IT DOWN. This sounds like new age Clipse stuff. I like the old stuff better.

The track is nice and Pusha kills it, sounds a lot like yeezy. Problem is, 50 seems very out of place on this track with this beat. His voice/the way he raps he should be on something harder than this feel good type beat. right?
anyways... give it a 3, i'll listen to it again |

Normally I can't stand Neptunes beats (90% of the time they are WACK) but this I dig, prefer feeling myself but this still dope
