Pusha T - Feeling Myself
Artist: Pusha T
Featuring: Kevin Cossom
Producer: The Bizness
Album: Fear of God
Label: G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam
In Feeling Myself, Pusha T‘s latest swag-drenched mixtape leak, Tha Bizness produces a thick, bumping drum pattern complete with brass swells and synth stabs as the G.O.O.D. Music signee brushes off all the haters and celebrates the good life. As the monster kick drum knocks in the background, Pusha kicks back with his money and his girl: “In a perfect world, just my guns and my girl / We shine like diamonds and pearls.” Serial hook murderer Kevin Cossom shines as usual on the triumphant chorus: “I’m feeling myself, It’s my world, I’m spending money like a rich white girl.” Pusha and Cossom form a cocky-but-talented team, and the boardwork from Tha Bizness is equally dope. While this may not be a commercial smash, it makes for perfect iPod music. Some even say it’s the standout cut on his mixtape. We’ll let the Booth decide as always. Those who feel Pusha feeling himself (awkward pause), can grab his Fear of God mixtape, which dropped today.

Isn't "Feeling Myself" the type of record that The Clipse didn't want to make as a duo? I guess Pusha doesn't mind going this route as a solo artist. Cossom is smooth on the hook, but the production is nothing special.

Yeah, I don't mind every now and then if Pusha lets out something like this, still prefer him in 'Clipse' though. Beat was my highlight though, just powerful stuff

Are you serious with that beat??!! "The Bizness" takin care of business on the production side for sure. Plus with Cossom on the hook, T couldn't go wrong here.

This song just works well together all around. Pusha's flows are fire, Kevin does indeed murder this hook, and the beat works either in your iPod speaker or on the subs in your car. It's the perfect song for any situation, whether that be easy listening or bumping around the neighborhood. I don't know about anybody else, but I can't get enough.

I am between two minds on this track. On one side I think its nice and everything works well. But on the other mind I think there is nothing special nor outstanding about the song. Its like i have heard it all before, especially from Pusha.
