With a mix of R&B and a hint of reggae, Walkin, the debut single from Pure, has the potential to be a hit among all types of music lovers. The self-produced track (with the help of Choir Boy and Sadeck) comes off the singer’s self-titled album set to be released later this year. The minimal use of instruments puts the focus on Pure’s smooth vocals. On par with Fabolous‘ single Breathe, an old-school sample of the word “walkin” is used throughout the song, completing sentences throughout about how great a woman walks. There is currently no release date for Pure’s self-titled debut.
MAN! This dude is mad fresh. I'm digging the original style production and the vocals are awesome. This is one of the best joints I've heard on DJBOOTH in a while. He's not a super awesome vocalist, but he does his thing here. The production and sample really makes the track unique.
This song is really hot. This could definitely be a topjoint. I like this alot. Everything is so original, and i think dude has a real fresh and smooth voice.
This is pure magic. You can mix the Status Quo song "my ride" ft. B.o.B track with this. I think I am about to go try that blend right now. DJBOOOOOTH is on point tonight! A solid 3.5 right here. Totally opposite ratings from last night.
i just keep agreeing with jesavail02 the booth is on point tonight, one on the better overall booth in a while.......i like this the prouduction is simple but that not a bad this it makes you pay more attention to his vocal
Love the island/reggae style to it, I didn't think it'd work as well as it did with the 1950's feel they were going for. In the beginning they had people 'doo-wopp'ing. Definitely feeling the clean beat, simplistic yet provides you with a good rhythm. I'm really impressed with a lot of theses artists trying to infuse old americana styles with hiphop/rnb and doing it well. It shows there's a willingness to try unique offbeat ways of communicating their music.
It's all good BOSS DOGG it happens once in awhile, when we agree with each ohter. Tonight was one of those nights we couldn't do anything about it, 'cause the booth delivered. If you posted first, I would of agreed with all of your comments.
Great production, I love the feel of this, damn you can hear maracas through the veses, how better could it get?! Nice simple lyrics, above average voice, fresh sound all around! I hope this sees mainstream success.
yea this song iz dope not really into the slow jam typa songs but this is mean music to grind wit ur girl 2 nice vocals and simplistic beat makes this a great song to kick bak to..
Nice. Very very nice. The vocals are "pure", to say the least. But it's a catchy summertime tune. Takes it back to the days of ice-cream cones and jelly bean shoes and double dutch, of course...Heatwaves!
damn! another summer hit in the commin
its so smooth .... love this beat .... put it on reply
pure ?!!!! very good voice that flows throught the whole song .... 4*
"DJBooth always surprisin!"
He has a very distinct voice and style on this track. This is not my style of song but I must say, it is a HUGH SONG.
+ He's very cute. Good job djbooth on this 1.
WOW!! I went thur some songs on djbooth but this is the one. I never heard of this guy but man. This is a "SUMMER TIME CLASSIC" in the making. This is going right into the serato.
Contrary to some others,Sean Kingston can't touch this! I see where you guys are coming from but this dude offers more than kingston. This guy can actually sing and this song is undeniably a hit! I'm excited to hear much more from this artist!
1ST. I LOVE THIS SONG!
2ND. PURE I'M A FAN FOR THIS. THIS IS SO OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. EVERYTHING WE HEAR IS SO SOUTH DRIVEN. THIS IS JUST FULL OF FUN, PARTY AND JUST A GREAT FEELING SONG.
3RD. Denela'S A HATER! BIG TIME!
@ first.. i was like "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS". but "sipho records" wow! Love this song already. blackrhum, xbar, that1kid13 i totally agree. HOT! VERY HOT! i would put (4 Banger) but i dont want something worst gettin a higher rating.
Heard it, liked it. This here is a banger plus 1 for the feel goodNESS. Gets me thinkin bout' East Coast Summerz, BBQz, Famz/Friendz, ice cold beer, heads noddin, faces smilin... yup alla dat
This is a nice song, mostly due to the beat they sampled. It is basically the whole intro to "Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um" by Major Lance. It is a great song on it's own, classic Chicago soul sound written by Curtis Mayfield. You can check it out on my imeem profile (search for peetski) if you are interested.
I'm loving this jam right here, I haven't heard of Pure before but the mans got skills. This is a sick track to lay down any-day of the week and i'll have it on rotation ending the night at several venues.
Anyone that knows about Baltimore club music will feel this song has that vibe, but i would hate for it to be reverbed a million times on a mix tape. But this song is versatile and hits on a couple of different levels. Someone compared this to Sean Kingston!! 1 word NOT!! This is hot good work!! DJ's please bump this for me!!
OMG OMG OMG GOD DAMN dis shyt is ridiculus got dat oldies doo wop of the 70s annoying ass walkin sample have sex to dis song my niggas, i mean even i would hop on da remix
FIRRRRE! This is Undeniable! Don luca & E-dub if you guys didn't feel this was a hit record as soon as it came on. You guys are just "HATERS".. So "Hi HAters".. lol
