Prote-J - Organs Play
Artist: Prote-J
Producer: The Trackoholics
Album: Dope Raps & Kit Kats
Label: Unsigned
Those who have been walking down the road to the release of upcoming album Dope Raps & Kit Kats know that Prote-J isn’t one to bite his tongue. So it’s only appropriate that on new release Organs Play, making its worldwide premiere right now, he follows in the footsteps of previous drops This Life and Bigger by letting haters know exactly what he thinks of them (hint: it’s nothing good). True to its name, producers The Trackoholics make sure that Organs Play is founded on high volume organs overlaid with riding hi-hats and booming bass. Fittingly, though, the record’s mark is truly made on the mic as Prote-J delivers some intensely passionate discourse on the state of the game: “Liars have a tendency to lose, so I’m bending all the rules / never take a loss / I don’t hear all the haters over the applause.” Besides providing listeners with a new defiant anthem, Organs Play marks the final premiere before the release of Dope Raps & Kit Kats on April 19 via DJBooth. Until then, keep your heart pumping on time to this.

i think it's a little sound heavy... would've like to hear the lyrics more and the organs less... still a banger though!

Its aight...the organs in the production has that funeral music vibe going on. I feel the gritty in the beat. As for lyrics Proto-J is average.

Pro usually has control over his material vocally, but he kinda get swallowed up here by the booming production. I think its safe to say I like his material much more when it feels like he, and not the beat, is the center of attention.

Quite dissapointed, Prote-J could've done so much better with a banging production like this, not saying the man done bad, just I know he can do so much better.

The production was great, Prote-J was more lyrical than most rappers today, so I give him some props.

This bangs but I felt like he was battling against the beat to not be overpowered by it.

I honestly don't think Prote got drowned out by the beat. His flow blends well and his usual creativity really makes it a banger. 4.5!
