Rapper Prodigy was supposed to turn himself into police this week to begin a three-and-a-half year prison sentence for gun possession. However, due to complications from his sickle cell anemia, the Mobb Deep alum was granted a one week extension. Using the opportunity to their advantage, Prodigy’s label Voxonic Records has begun to leak some of the tracks of his upcoming album, H.N.I.C. 2. Into our hands here at the Booth landed The Alchemist-produced banger, Young Veterans. One of several tracks that already has a corresponding video filmed, the lyrical selection and production personify old school M.O.B.B. H.N.I.C. 2 will be released on April 8th.
to WOW!, you're entitled to your own opinion but the lyrics are a very crucial part to rap music. Club bangers can't really make a deep impact on people like lyrically focused tracks can...not a fan of the alchemist though
why does "real and true" rap have to be on meaningful lyrics wit old school beats. We can think happy thoughts to ourselves and think 'em 2- we don't need a song singing us "real stuff" wit stupid- how about they just stop wit da old school and put in crunk beats. Would u still like it then-it would have da same meaning? It doesn't have to be old to be gud.
This is Strong Street Shit right here. I am feeling this big time. Seriously HARD production by the Alchemist on here. I am really into this whole track! Hopefully this album sells better than the last one!
7574Lyfe, i am chill- im not freak-n out or anythang...i just wanna be heard 4 who i am. (My interests say im in2 BOYZ and finding a hot boyfriend-so imma girl). k
Mobb Deep been holding it down for a minute. Tight track. Tupac clowned on Biggie too. That statement carries no weight.. "Clowning" is part of the industry to humiliate or embarass your counterparts to generate record sales or popularity.
Wow!! There ain't nothing wrong makin' music people can feel or relate too. There ain't nothing wrong makin' music people can dance too. You do you and let people who enjoy what they like do them. No need for all the closed minded opinions. You sound real foolish.
I sound foolish? I don't care wut otha people want to enjoy...let them. But im not having a closed mind opinion- i just like wut i like and that's it.-club bangerz. Im not hatin on otha stuff- they just aint my type, and i think i should be able to express that. (I don't mean to sound rude or anythang to all yall if i am)
Prodigy is preety good rapper, but I always felt that producers held him back, yes that means im not a hudge fan of The Alchemist. This beat is crap compared to the production of "Got it Twisted" by the M.O.B.B.
Production from the ALC is always great. Im feelin the beat, I hope HNIC II is as good as HNIC was. P is a good rapper, but not feelin that way he flows now. Kinda feels slow and lazy, compared to when he first came out.
Alchemist did a great job with the samples on this one. Prodigy comes hard on this one even with a laid back flow. I am just wondering if H.N.I.C. 2 will be worth buying? If it is more this I would be willing to drop some money on it.
Ok, I've been waiting for Mobb Deep to drop something of substance for awhile, although there last album wasn't bad it wasn't great either. Finally this track highlights some of Prodigy's lyrical skills I thought he has lost a long time ago (Survival of The Fittest DAyz!), as Blaze eluded to, hardcore street shit right here, blaze a ting, a listen to this track in the ride, trust me, you don't have to be a G to feel like a G with this track!
