Prior to starting a 3 ½-year prison sentence, Mobb Deep‘s Prodigy sat down with our very own DJ Z for an exclusive pre-prison interview. Toward the end of their conversation, Prodigy divulged what he feels is wrong with our government, culminating in several conspiracy theories. Sure enough, the first track on P’s new album, H.N.I.C. Pt. 2, carries the message that big-name politics and money are ultimately worthless and that the Real Power Is People. Underground producer Sid Roams bookends the track with news coverage clips, the second of which heralds the beginning of a possible revolution. For more impassioned people-power anthems, pick up H.N.I.C. Pt. 2, now available in stores and online.
Prodigy has a really sick flow and it comes through on this track. The beat is made for him! Good beat and I will definitely be putting this in the MP3 right after this!!! This is HARD right here! A BANGER!
I give him credit for his message but it doesn't carry any real substance. Real power is the government and money. His amalgamation ideologies are directed towards a small sector. Time has proven that the real power is within the academic or political institution. Back to the beat it wasn't that great. I grew up listening to Mobb Deep and this wasn't the prodigy I used to jam to.
yea beat is diffnately banging props 2 sid roams on producing this az it suits prodigys flow im feeling this so its going in rotation not bad 4 a g unit product haha but its still G UNOT..
Prodigy is sooo fly man. Yal need to stop looking at where a dud is from or what group he is in and just listen to the music. This sh*t is bangin. Prodigy goes hard and if the beat was harder i would give it a 5. This is fire.
Prodigy BLEW MY MIND when we spoke, prior to his current incarceration. He follows politics, society and government and although he has one too many conspiracy theories about the evil axes of the world, the man is smart. This is solid hip-hop.
Are you crazy? This is the kind with a message (I hope that when a certain user rates DIS a 1-I hope she at least says she respects DIS message). Classic...the album is too, I'll bet
I Got this tune in January but another Classic from Prodigy. Like Blaze said, his flow is crazy and he is also never afraid to say what he feels. Hope the album does well. im getting it 2morow
Mobb Deep has always been so gangsta with their songs and lyrics...always coming with real talk with a sick flow and hot beat behind it...this is good sh*t
