As of my writing, Chicago is in the midst of a blizzard, that, when all is said and done, is expected to leave behind up to 10 inches of snow. Which means that, as one the city’s coldest emcees, ProbCause must feel right at home. On new street single SUBZERO, inspired by the current snowstorm, Wes P‘s icy choral samples and synth arpeggios collide with Prob’s bone-chilling flows to form a record likely to result in a few frostbitten ears. Complete with guest bars from fellow Chi-town reppers Showyousuck, Psalm One and Auggie the 9th, this shiver-inducing promo cut is slated to appear on forthcoming mixtape The Recipe Volume 2. Featuring appearances by Action Bronson, Chance the Rapper, Mickey Factz and more, the project is due out digitally this April.
