Plies - Pants Hang Low ft. Mannie Fresh
Artist: Plies
Featuring: Mannie Fresh
Producer: Mannie Fresh
Album: Da Realist
Label: Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic
If you were surprised by the summer release of Plies‘s sophomore album, Definition of Real a mere ten months after his debut, The Real Testament, prepare for another shock; he already has a tentative drop date (December 16) for his junior album, Da Realist. Often wavering between his Bust It Baby and Certified Goon styles of rap, the Fort Myers, Florida native has chosen the latter for his official first single, Pants Hang Low. Making sure that the “third time’s the charm,” Plies scoops up veteran producer Mannie Fresh, who provides a piano-loop beat and offers a few background vocals as well. Though municipal ordinances nationwide continue to clamp down on sagging pants, it doesn’t sound like Plies will be compliant.

Man, Plies is droppin a new single for a new album when his 2nd single just came out on his "old" album (if thats what you wanna call it?)?? Dude is gettin his hustle on for real. This is a pretty good song, way better than that Hands song he's got out right now. It's no Bust It Baby or Hypnotized, but it will be just fine right at the place its intended for: radio. I've always loved Mannie Fresh's production which makes the song a little better to me. 3/5.

Plies has been seen as a ladies man with all his past bangers. This is a small downgrade, stick to bagging the ladies real talk.

Good song but a little too cliche for me. I think its crazy hes already makin songs for a new album, he needs to space em out some more let more of a hype build

Eh. I mean...eh. Plies isn't all that talented and i don't expect him to be around in 2-3 years. But Mannie can come with harder beats than this.

No disrepect to anyone, but can someone please explain to me how this song is cliche? the only other song that comes to my mind when i see this song is Red Monkey Jeans LOL, it sounds like Mannie put the clap in there, but he didn't put no bump with it at times, but its still still works, Plies is on his grind forreal, and whoever said Plies will be gone in 2-3 years, your WRONG, he'll be around longer than that, Plies is startin to grow on me alot more since his first album, which the best song was 1 day =D, 3 albums in as little as, what, 2 years? maybe a little less, hes gettin his game up, but i can guarantee he'll have better songs then this on there.

GOON..GOON..GOON..baybeh. Honestly it was a breathe of fresh air from the other Plies tracks. Most of Plies singles are for the ladies. Its aight. Not a Banger or a classic. Its average.

iTS OK..But when plies makes songs like "Somebody Loves You" (Off the definition of real) and "Runnin My Momma Crazy", (Off The Real Testament), THATS WHEN HE STANDS OUT FROM other AVERAGE Rappers. But when he makes songs like this, he'll always be another average wannabe rapper in my eyes

In my opinion nothing from Plies compares to his "shawty" and "bust is baby pt.2" days...dude's not very lyricaly gifted but somehow we get sucked in, i know i did to this song but mostly for its production...

Kayleb101, it says Mannie is the producer in the write-up AND he is credited on the left side, bud. Moving along.... the song is catchy (like almost all of Plies' single choices have been), but it isn't a hit on the level his current singles have elevated to. This isn't the official kick-off for the album, its merely too early. Atlantic is just being smart and continuing his buzz.

Excuse Me, but ummm...WHAT!? YALL know, pants sagging originated in prison right? RIGHT!? It signified, "availability"...ummm GET IT? I Got some family and friends that work at prison and some that live in prison, so argue.(I'm Not listenin anyway) I get what its suppose to signify, but that fashion sense was a bad pick on, well,... some body's part.(not mine) But I do give Plies credit on actually doin something different from what he's been doin. So its Ok -NOBODY

I agree with the person above me I didnt even have to listen to the song just because the title of it.I'm a female and I know that shit means that you've been tapped in the ass or your open to be tapped in the ass.Saggin yo pants and letting yo draws show comes from prison.Everybody should know that by now especially if you call yourself a so-called gangsta and if you didnt know now you know.So if I hear a nigga bumpin this song Imma know what you into.lol

Maybe he's pushing things too much? He had some decent singles left in his last album. Plies sorta ruins his the chorus. Mannie Fresh does his thing. Together is where it falls apart. Not that bad, though, haha.

I will say this. This is the fastest I've seen a rapper drop albums. Plies hasn't been around for more than two years, and he's already about to drop a third album. I respect that. I like Mannie's production a lot and actually, Plies doesn't sound bad on here. He sounds better than some of his other joints. I like this. I don't really like Plies, but I do like this joint from him. He'll get some heads bobbing on this one. It may be do to the fresh production, but this is a hot joint.
