The 22nd installment of our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Playboy Tre, the Southern emcee who earned rave reviews with Eagles Fly and Bobby Ray-featuring single We Are The Robots.  The ATL native, who spits over an original instrumental by Gutta G on his brand new, previously-unreleased Nightmares freestyle, is currently preparing to drop his long-awaited Liquor Store Mascot street album, to be followed by his Da Return of Feel Good Music and Red States mixtapes.  In addition, Tre is participating in Gain a Fan Day, a weekly promotional series on www.mauricegarland.com and www.atlhustlers.com.

Playboy Tre does a pretty good job but in certain spots his lyrics are off beats. He does well on short features but on a freestyle it shows his weaknesses. The beat is pretty solid and he still brings some nice rhymes with agrressive delivery. In rotation

We stipulate to our series participants that they may rap over an industry instrumental or a brand new beat - kudos to Tre for going to 100% original route. Love his voice, his charisma, and his full-out production. Thanks, fam.
