When Playaz Circle leaked their popular hit single, Duffle Bag Boy, in March of ‘07, it took more than five months before the record sparked the attention of the label heads at Def Jam and landed the duo a release date for their long, lost, and nearly dead debut, Supply & Demand. Though the project stalled after the second single, Betta Knock, the College Park, Georgia street vets are looking toward the future and their next project, Flight 360: The Takeoff. Off that forthcoming release is the new song, Look What I Got, which finds Titi Boi and Dolla Boy trading verses about the new cars and expensive toys they’ve recently purchased. Though the topic of flaunting one’s wealth has become somewhat monotonous, the duo impress lyrically, over a sharp Southern-tinged beat.
The production on this track is really SICK! I like the beat and the chorus on here. They have a nice country bounce on this one. I can feel it but their flow just isn't good enough to make me label it a Certified Banger or anything like that...
MAN THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT LUDACRIS OR FIELD MOB ON THIS IT DEFINATELY WOULD HAVE BEEN A BANGER I WILL STILL PLAY ESPECIALLY SINCE THE WEATHER IS GETTING BETTER
Usually rappers match the beat, but I think the beat matches well with Playaz Circle's style on this one.
Where is that sample from...its drivin' me crazy?? I can't get T.I.'s "Look What I Got" out of my head, but I don't think thats right. Anyone know??
DAMN. After hearing their album I wasn't expecting much from Playaz Circle again. Their album was straight but it seemed pushed out since Duffle Bag Boy was a hit and 11 tracks just didn't seem like enough. Now this track is great, better then anything on their last album. I'm now convinced that Playaz Circle doesn't rely on guest verses to make a hit. NICE
when the beat drop and the chorus start it sounds like a hit, when they start the verse it s like ?????? The F**Ked up the song or somethin. It had such gfreat potential but they just don't come hard in they flow. The chorus knock though
