Pitbull - Give Them What They Ask For
Artist: Pitbull
Producer: Pointblank The Marksman
Album: The Rebelution
Label: PoloGrounds/J/Mr. 305 Inc.
For the past year, Pitbull has been dropping hits, hits, and more hits in preparation for the release of his senior album, Rebelution. Though that approach has resulted in considerable Billboard success, there are some who have taken issue with Mr. 305’s decision to forgo the typical Miami “street rap” route in favor of more universally-appealing fare. Pit would be be the first to tell you how sick he is of that “f*ckboy” (local term) hip-hop, but, on this potential single, he’s decided to Give Them What They Ask For. As the hitmaking emcee proves that he’s got as much street cred as anyone in the MIA, Pointblank The Marksman heightens the mood with an appropriately bass-heavy beat. Whether you prefer club-hop smashes or grittier jams, you’re sure to find plenty to your liking on Rebelution when the LP drops this Tuesday (September 1st) off Polo Grounds/J Records.

Pitbull is not the most remarkable lyricist, but he can ably navigate every topic with flair that explains his success with record sales. He doesn't say anything particularly new or incisive, but the effort is much appreciated and it works backed up with bass-heavy production, creating a sound that should appeal to fans from both camps.

This song is weird. The background music is kinda funny! I can't say it's shit but I'm not crazy for it, either. I guess it'll grow on me! In rotation

The beat is tight, but i cant see it being another radio hit, like his other singles. But it is a good song

This and the song with B.o.B. are the only songs I've ever liked from Pitbull and they came one after another. I'm hoping he keeps putting songs out like this to keep me listening to him.
