Yo, did someone forget to include the vocal tracks? Pharoahe Monch’s self-produced June 2007 release, Desire, is gonna give some much-needed soul and gospel blood to the Hip-Hop domain, and Body Baby has a refreshing riff to it for sure. But if you’re waiting for Monch to hit the mic in this song, think again cuz that moment never comes. Musically speaking, this track is real good. It looks and smells real—which is unheard of in this sample-heavy world. However, Body Baby clearly belongs in a smoky Karaoke bar, not on the stereo.
