Petatosh‘s musical career may still be in its beginning stages, but the Seattle representative’s not about to stop till he’s got more Shine than a 20-karat diamond. On his latest single and first Booth feature, the Seattle rhymesayer fills listeners in on just how determined he is to succeed, rhyming over the resolute, piano-led production of Kuddie Fresh. Like what you’re hearing? More is just a few mouse-clicks away—released independently in August of 2011, Petatosh’s Different EP is available for download from the artist’s Bandcamp page.

Excellent flow and delivery by Petatosh. I like the beat by Kuddie Fresh. This chorus is official too. This goes hard from front to back. BANGER $hit!

Really, this is why a site like DJbooth.net is so important.
Just like how the next great sound or talents have been found early on underground indie rock websites in the past, you need a platform like this for talented underground & unsigned artists in development to see the light and gain exposure/ support. I'm not a mainstream or underground snob, I love all great music. But underground artists do need more support to be successful, and to have the money to continue to develop and make more new creative music. Thanks for giving unsigned guys burn as well as the mainstream DJbooth. 3.5 stars |

Just to clarify, my review was geared mostly at the importance of the site for the music, and an unsigned artist's hunger to shine and succeed.
After some repeat listens, this track does need work lyrically and it's a 3 star track for me. Not perfect, but I try to stay real. |

Give the man his Shine. I'd say there aren't many people who can do it so simplistic and have it come out the way it does for Peta Tosh.
Everybody be on the lookout for Peta Tosh new project The Takeoff Pt. 2. You might even hear Carl Roe and a couple of joints. |
