If you thought you had Pay$0z pegged, think again—though the gritty punchline-fest that was Frame It, the Weezy-sampling Go Hard, and his Booth-exclusive Industry Life freestyle all achieved nearly unanimous reader acclaim, the emcee’s latest record goes for an entirely different sound, and comes out the fresher for it. Making its world premiere at this very site, this cut finds Pay$0z Drivin’ alongside AC, the underground rapper who Got Head In The DJ Booth just last week. Celebrating the fast life and all the perks that come with being at the top of one’s game, both emcees delivery witty, wordplay-heavy verses that elevate the record far above your usual exercise in paper-stacking, and beatsmith Freeze adds to the exultant ambience with a propulsive funk-rock groove. Drivin’ is set for inclusion on Pay$0z’ illroots-sponsored Success Is A Mile Away Mixtape (set to drop late this month), which will pave the way for his forthcoming, DJBooth/Team Rsinal-cosponsored LP, Going Against the Grain (set to drop in April).

i liked both "frame it" and "go hard" better than this. i dont wanna say its GARBAGE, but its just not that great.

I liked his last feature with the Lil Wayne interview sample. This here is decent. The chorus is really hot, but I can't really vibe with the rest of it.

My favorite track from both these men this year (withstanding their individual freestyle features). The production is GREAT and the vibe of both emcees is charismatic.

Actully, I have to disagree with the people above me. The beat is the one part of this song I don't like. Everything else is very well done. The production just isn't at the level of the rapping for me. Still, I'll put it in rotation.
