Paula DeAnda may be a teenager, but the Corpus Christi, Texas native knows she has talent beyond her years. On the first single off her as-yet-untitled sophomore album, Ms. DeAnda revs up her pop expertise to get Stunned Out with rapper Yung Joc. Super-producer J.R. Rotem supplies a ’90s-throwback pop beat, sampling Nena’s 99 Red Balloons, as Paula flosses what she’s got, vocally and otherwise. Meanwhile, J.O.C. revs his engine, admiring a foxy lady and boasting of his own ever-present swag. Stunned Out, co-written by Paula’s Doin’ Too Much collaborator Baby Bash and One Block Radius’ Marty James, should keep listeners stunned until her new album hits stores early next year.

I still think Paula DeAnda has her best years ahead of her. Although this production is pretty neat (I def sense the 90's vibe), I still think this is just thrown into the same category as her previous work. She's got a chance to have that international appeal given her nationality, but she needs to break out with some stronger vocals and a classic track. Joc fits this style real nice, he flows well with the beat and improves the track undoubtebly.

paula kind of sounds like mariah on this track, she has a nice voice, though. her best work was "doing too much" with baby bash.

Dang, P.A looking like the new J-Lo. I totally agree on the Mariah comparison...I though of her immediately! Rotem is such a beast with these throwback joints. He's becoming one of my favorite pop producers as of late. This goes into rotation most definitely.

Yea I agree with J worthy. This is some throwback Mariah type shit. / Janet Jackson type stuff. No need to ask her who her influences are in the interview, Z! She's pretty, sounds nice vocally. I just wish she didn't sound so much like ladies past.

In the pic she looks like Cassie. I'm not crazy for this song but she has a really good voice! And yes she reminds me of Mariah Carey, too...she's promising, let's hope she's gonna come out with a better song. This is catchy in every case, so to me it's in rotation

Mariah didn't invent Paula's singing style or delivery. Frankly, if I am Paula, if I hear people comparing me or my work to Mrs. Carey's - I'm thrilled. Nice cut, this is a no-doubt-about-it HIT.
