Friends since childhood, rappers Paul Wall and Chamillionaire hustled for years in their native city of Houston, Texas, in an attempt to get a recording deal. After the two finally ‘got on’ with the successful underground label, Swishahouse Records, they split for a deal with another local indie, Paid In Full. After releasing several projects together, including the underground favorite Get Ya Mind Correct, the two MCs split and would each took separate paths to stardom. Now many years later, the “Grill Man” and Cham are cooler than ever and together recorded the buzz track, Diamonds Exposed, off Wall’s forthcoming studio album, The Fast Life. The game might change, but the players stay the same.
Since I am a scratch DJ as well as a hip hop DJ, I can really appreciate the hot scratching in the beginning. I am feelin the chorus. The beat would definitely knock in the wip! Chamillionaire sounds good on this too. I would give it like a 3.5 out of 5. This will do great on radio!
DOPE TRACK but like chamillionaire said awhile back: if him and paul wall were to put out another album its not gonna be the same paul and cham sound from the past..they both have progressed since then. Im a huge fan of both rappers and i still bump GET YOUR MIND CORRECT, I'm just saying its a new type of paul and cham..instead of spittin about rims being the size of a house and diamonds in their boogers Koopa spits more meaningfully..Paul spits slightly different too. They still both go hard and dish out creativity. 5stars from a fan. CLASSIC in my book
Being from Texas, Dallas to be exact, I expect better. The hook seems to drag, and I really don't see any progression from Paul or Cham's last projects.
I went into this song with high expectations, but I was sort of let down. This song is alright, but nothin' great. It is nice to see Paul and Cham on the track together again! Controversy Sells baby!
It might be my volume, or this song isn't what Paul Wall can actually do. Paul Wall, can do 10 TIMES better than this. I'll give it a 2 1/2 Meh. So. 3.
5000 watts kills the beat, koops does his thing as usual on the hook & spits hard. keke is still knocking doors down...enough said this track is straight fire. it won't get much radio play, but who gives a shit. still a great song.
as a big cham and paul fan since 2000 i can honestly say this is bad for them. especially paul. yes they've changed since then but the thing is that they dont compete with eachother like they used to. and out-rhyming eachother is what made cham and paul so great to begin with.
EVERYONE ON HERE WHO DOESNT SEE THAT LIL KEKE KILLED THIS TRACK KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT H-TOWN RAP FOR YALL TO BE UP ON PAUL AND KOOP DOING SOMETHING TOPGETHER ONLY REAL H-TOWNIANS KNOW KEKE ON A SWISHER HOUSE TRACK IS EVEN BIGGER BIG UPS TO SUC ONE. PS SLIM THUG GET WITH KEKE BRING H-TOWN OUT OF THIS BITCH ASNESS THESE SO CALLED RAPPERS HAVE PUT US IN KIDDPOOH DJ RAB MIX TAPE STREET EXCLUSIVE COMMING SOON
POOH: nobody talkin bout Keke cuz its already a fact that he's good. no discussion needed. especially when cham and paul are sucking this bad together. keke and paul need to rotate their names cuz it pretty much seems like he owned the song
