Is love something that can be bought and sold?  If urban radio is any indication, the answer is “Absolutely;” then again, few popular jams stick around long enough to describe the inevitable downfall of such materialistically-motivated relationships.  On Buy Her Love, the first of two exclusive records sent to this very site, Austin R&B singer and ‘08 Best of the Booth nominee Paul Couture clues listeners in on why romance and greed mix about as well as oil and water.  Over his own subdued, synth-heavy boardwork, the singer describes a woman who, instead of simply selling her affections to the highest bidder, has taken the far more lucrative path of selling them to multiple bidders.  Topped off with a memorable chopped-n-screwed hook,  BHL is proof that Couture’s hitmaking potential hasn’t waned since he earned rave reviews for Self Made Millionaire back in summer ‘08.  Fans can hear plenty more of the up-and-comer’s Booth-acclaimed R&B stylings on his Songs About HER Mixtape, set to drop in July.  In the meantime, keep your browsers trained on our front page—another exclusive world premiere is coming soon!

Production isn't bad, but the autotune just ruined this. Without it, it would've had potential.

This is a perfect example of bad autotune.

When the beat started i automatically thought BANGER!!
But then the damn auto-tune came and killed it!! (in a bad way)
Remove the auto-tune and you got yourself a hit!! Leave it as is and it's just another auto-tune garbage track!!
Production takes the show on this one!!
2 stars for production and none for the auto-tune!!
Very disappointed since this could of been a banger!!

Paul's work behind the boards here serves as a better barometer for his talents than the AutoTuned-drenched vocals he offers up. With that said, I have long said that there is nothing wrong with using AT so long as the record would sound better without it. In this case, I think its usage complements the boardwork and works well. To each his own, right?

I think the auto-tune works with this track. Like DJ Z said, to each his own.

@Z - agreed. I dislike AT because of the sh*t music most artists make with it, not that its being used. That being said, everything goes together well on this track, and am looking forward to more from Couture (nice production from him, as well)

beat is on point. No need for auto tune here, but I tell you this, for@et everythin@ about the AT and everyson@ you ever heard on it. And this is kinda mean. So I'ma do just that and pretend the auto didn't just @et put out its misery.

OK for the production.

Could work if the Auto-Tune made him sound good, but it doesn't.

I would of preferred this without the autotune because his natural voice is a nice listen but I dont think the AT ruined it. The production bangs..nice track right here!

Little slower and more R&B focus than his other features, but this was still pretty hot. I hate giving credit to these guys who rely 100% on autotune, but I like the flow of this one and the sound. It's an enjoyable interesting R&B track that can appeal to consumers.

Ok. I immediately thought this was gonna be a great track coz I find it has an amazing music. But I can't stand the autotune, they say it's not "fashion" anymore but I keep on hearing it...and I hate it! Here it's worse than in other tracks where they used it. 3 stars for the production

To be honest the track is good. Not a must play but it can find its way in. Production is pretty good. & about the autotunes... AT doesnt ruin at track. The people who use it do. A lot of artist tend to go with the flow when they should actually be Trailblazers. OVERALL GOOD SONG. HOPEFULLY PAUL COUTURE CAN BE CONSISTENT!

Auto-tune is def a bit touchy but at least it tells a story, which is more than I can say for the usual AT use. I'm pretty sure this guy was one of the first using it back with "Self Made Millionaire".

trax good.. nyc beat.. nyc melody, nyc vocals (apart from the hook).. downside is the autotune, used minimally it would have killed it.. but coz it woz maxed out it took all the notes off key.. bad choice.. oh, an 1mor fing, people been sayin that the production is tyt but autotune killed it etc.. a producer dont jus make beats, da producer is responsible for the entire trak, so the use of autotune would hav been the producers decision.. unless of course u guys r getn confused with producers and beatmakers?? anyway, fix da autotune settings 4 da next trak n der wil be no problems..
