Back in February of ‘08, Pacific Division received mixed reviews for their first Booth feature—though Fat Boys’ unconventional subject matter and sparse beat appealed to quite a few underground heads, some simply didn’t know what to make of them. Now, after more than a year, Like, Mibbs, and BeYoung are back, and, if this track is any indication, they’ve taken their uniquely stark style to the next level. Requesting listeners kindly Shut Up and focus on the music, the trio come with rhymes worthy of your undivided attention (“Knucklehead n*ggas with the bass in the trunk/ ‘bout to bubble like peroxide layin’ in a cut” may be the dopest lyric I’ve heard all day) over an odd but compelling instrumental; booming percussion paired with a sound that brings to mind wind rushing through an empty chasm make up the bulk of Swiff D‘s sparse, spacious production. I'm really lovin these Cali groups who are strayin away from that classic west coast sound for a more "hipster" sound. (i.e., Pac Div and U-N-I)
I been waitin for a track from these dudes that made me wanna nod my head like "Fat Boys 08" did. I love the production even though it is a lil thin, and the "shut up" sample is tight on the hook. I love the vibe that all three rappers bring, all three have some tight flows/vocals and some nice wordplay. These dudes sound perfect over this type of production. Oh, I also really like the sound effects when he talks about the cell phone... |

They production sounds really similar to the Cool Kids but Pac Div actually has solid flow and lyrics. The beat is flames with that percussion and I like the creativity in the hook. Fresh lyrics and knocking beat!

this is hot.. but my problem is, they're gonna have to seperate themselves from like.. the cool kids & Ko*Stars
cuz right now, they sound ALMOST JUST LIKE THEM. lacks originality but, this song go hard. so.. yeah. |

The vocal samples sound really good mixed in here ... & dis production here really had my head spun ....
I like how they flow/rap but its a little too slow for me ... but their wordplay is coo ... so overall it BANGS!!! |

This track isn't very catchy, but I LOVE the beat and his flow is excellent. I find that it perfectly fits the beat...in rotation, but could grow on me ;)
