Two weeks ago, we featured Pac-Div’s Cross-Trainers, which featured Top Dawg Kendrick Lamar and the ever-talented Blu. While that may have been enough to tide over most fans until their album drop, the Cali trio is back with The Return, the latest offering from their forthcoming GMB album. The Return plays host to a distinct vibe that only Californian artists can produce. Mars (of 1500 or Nothin’) handles the swaying, breezy boardwork and guest Ty$ ties the song together with a carefree hook that reinforces its easy-going vibe. Of course, the three hip-hop musketeers also do their thing, discussing the lovely ladies of The Sunshine State as well as paying homage to the land that raised them. Possibly a harsh critic because I WAS such a huge Pac Div fan, but lately I've been thoroughly unimpressed.

I am high on Pac Div, but not this song in particular. Nothing really impressive or memorable about it. Their old school appreciate it sincere, but the end result was less than their best.

Pac Div with tight verses once again. The beat has a good flow and the chorus is catchy. This can go into the MP3 folder.
