Pac Div - Rollin'
Artist: Pac Div
Producer: Swiff D.
Album: Don't Mention It Mixtape
Label: The Div/RBC Records
While Pac Div are only just beginning to get the attention they deserve, it’s hardly fair to refer to Like, Mibbs and Beyoung as West Coast new-schoolers – after all, the trio have been on their grind for the greater part of the 2000s. What does it feel like to have finally made it? If inaugural mixtape leak Rollin’ is any indication, the answer is something along the lines of “really damned good.” Backed by Swiff D‘s dreamy synth ambiance, the Church League Champions take us on a guided tour of the streets that made them into the men, and the artists that they are today. Complete with the refreshingly smooth vocal stylings of R&B singer Ty$, this gritty but nostalgia-drenched track is perfect to vibe out to while taking a relaxing drive through the City of Angels – or while daydreaming about doing so, for those who live in less temperate climes. Don’t Mention It is scheduled to hit the ‘net “soon,” and Pac Div’s debut studio album, Grown Kid Syndrome is set to follow later this year.

I was sold on Pac Div last summer when the homie Nathan S. and I got the chance to see them open for Kid Cudi, B.o.B. and Asher Roth at the LA House of Blues. Despite that fact that we were surrounded by die hard Pac Div fans, it was evident that everyone in the venue came away impressed with these guys.
Their energy, enthusiastic rhymes, and dope production selection make them easy to like - which is almost everything that is good about this song (minus the hook, the slower vibe, and slightly less uptempo energy). Still a fan... |

I'm a huge Pac Div fan (L.A. stand up) but this is only average by their standards. The track hits, but not as hard as I was hoping.

Really respect the fact Pac Div hasn't tried taking the mainstream approach & are instead making the same well put together tracks they came into the game wit, 3.5

Laid-back music, easy to listen to when kind of zoning out but equally good when you listen to rhymes. Rotation fa sho!

This song was just alright. The lyrics were the one thing that turned me off from this song. "Rollin Rollin" kind of got annoying. I was not impressed but it was still ok

havent heard a beat like this in minute. actually for like a decade. this smooth RnB-esque beat glides nicely and is accompanied with smooth Ty$ vocals. AVerqe flow tho which makes this song on the whole AVERAGE

Just saw these guys in concert at Michigan State with XV, Clipse, Big Sean and Kid Cudi. First, let me just say it was a sick concert. As for Pac Div, they really laid it down, it would have been more electric had more poeple known more songs than just Mayor, but still they did their thing. This song, however kind of leaves me wanting more, I feel like its pretty forgettable
