Life sometimes hands us circumstances that demand we sit down, take a breath, and think “what the…?” Although these situations are almost never as intense as flying from the roofs of buildings in a bat suit, or surviving the temperatures on ice planet Hoth, they can certainly be Stranger Than Fiction, a dilemma the always musically adventurous Outasight address on his latest offering. On this stand out single from his new mixtape Further, the NY artist bounces his rhythmic vocals gracefully over an equally uplifting beat supplied from talented Booth favorite 6th Sense. Sight clearly has personal experience with these tough predicaments in life, but he uses the track to show us his take on moving past them, and/or transforming them into dope songs: “But I didn’t grow/ or be the lucky winner on ‘who want to blow up’/ and that’s fine, sh*t happens/ all the trouble makes a better storyline.” If you liked this track from the recently-signed Asylum/Warner artist, check out his mixtape, LRG Presents: Further, and as always, keep it locked to the Booth for more.

This is my favorite track (yes, I hand picked it) off Outasight's new mixtape - which is EXCELLENT.

I have big big expectations for Outasight in 2010.

I love listening to people try to describe Outasight: "he's a white hipster rap guy, except he's not, he's got more of a rock vibe, though ha cen really rhymes, so...." I don't think you can easily sum up his sound, and that's exactly why I like him. I could bump this all day.

I love Outavsight for his Sound, its so different from everything in hip hop he's Alternative I can barely classify him as an artist, I guess a real artist cannot be classified because they cross all lines and blur every definition for what a musician should be.

i find him more neo soul than rock... but he's real dope... he could have a huge fan base when he drops that album in the 1st quarter of 2010

Man, a lot of great free music dropped yesterday that I forgot to get my haircut. #TrueStory

Agree with each one of you. But I also think that a small share of credit for Outasight's hard-to-categorize sound, belongs to one of the nicest producers around, 6th Sense, who keeps feeding Outasight a diversified set of musical arrangements.

This joint was illy. I download the new tape, but I haven't got a chance to spin it fully yet. I'll probably give it a listen this weekend. If the rest of the tracks are as dope as this one is, it should be a great listen.

6th Sense went in on the production!

This song rocks!! I really like the music and Outasight sounds smooth. I like the mix. 6thSense did a masterful job with production. I like that it doesn't sound like typical hip hop.
