Leave it to Big Apple phenom (and exclusive freestyle series contributor) Outasight to release a track called Dear Heartache… that’ll have listeners grinning and nodding along by the first chorus. The latest leak off the longtime Booth fave’s forthcoming mixtape finds him once again teaming up with production partner 6th Sense to defy expectations with a musical concoction as pop-appealing as it is left-of-center. Backed by understated, shuffling percussion and sunny African guitar riffs, the artist paints a laid-back lyrical portrait of solitary-weekend ennui – you know, when you’ve been running around all week and you finally get that coveted day off, only to realize you have nothing to do and no one to do it with? And before you know it, you’ve wasted the whole day pondering what to do? Yep, it happens to the best of us; as the man himself explains on the hook, “Sometimes, the simple things are the hardest.” Digging this cathartic upbeat banger? You can find plenty more where this came from on Outasight’s Never Say Never mixtape, set to hit the ‘net August 10.

Possibly the most outgoing, fun, and upbeat song entitled "Dear Heartache..." I've ever heard before.
Outasight sounds great over lots of different production styles, but there is something about his work with 6th Sense that just, well, makes sense. This works in a multitude of ways and should be very appealing to our mainstream-loving audience. |

I love everything Outasight has been putting out. Way to be different and very original, but still sound like radio will eat it up. That is the recipe for progression, folks. And the ironic title vs. vibe is great.

I think i wouldn't rated this song higher is i was in the mood to hear something more upbeat. The rap verse he spits is nice tho.

Another bright, enjoyable summer track from Outasight. The man can sometimes get carried away with the stylized vocals (he sounds like he's doing a Bob Dylan impression), but when he keeps it simple like this, it's a breath of fresh air in every respect.

Does this remind anyone else of Sugar Fly... I couln't take it completely serious because I kept expecting to hear "I just wanna fly..."

Basically a fresh take on a combo of ATCQ's "El Segundo" and "Give Me". Sounds nice.

The differences that Outasight has from other artists are one of the reasons i like him so much as a true musician but this track is too far out there vocally.
