Energetic soul makes a return to the scene with O’Neal McKnight‘s new single, Check Your Coat. In a style which can best be described as a mix of Michael Jackson, Prince, and Usher, McKnight sings about a girl who he has his eye on and wants to get on the dance floor. The classic-sounding production should help make this a sure-shot hit in the clubs and maybe even assist McKnight with a major label deal. Record contract or not, Check Your Coat brings some artsy, wholesome, feel good music into an industry filled with a vast amount of explicit substance.

this is the worst song i have heard on djbooth. the beat was a classic, he needs to use his voice differently cos it definitely doesnt go with this badly created song. but he does sound like he could be good, like a Ryan Lesie type sound. and those socks with that cloak are so wack, ahaha he looks like a right fool!

The beginning of the production is similar to Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" but this guy's voice it just not there yet. His doesn't have a lot of range and I don't feel the emotion.
