One-Take - Man vs Machine
Artist: One-Take
Producer: One-Take
Album: Untitled (TBD)
Label: Brooklyn Bourne
As cinema has taught us, any sufficiently advanced A.I. is bound to turn against its masters eventually. Fortunately, we’ll have a dope soundtrack for the inevitable war of Man vs. Machine. The latest single off One-Take‘s forthcoming full-length (and the first release under his new Brooklyn Bourne Records label), this hard-hitting cut finds the Kings County-based beatsmith cooking up a gritty, sampled backdrop for the science-fictional lyrical flames of Prince Po, UG (of Cella Dwellas) and Animosity. Like what you’re hearing? More freshness awaits on One-Take’s as-yet untitled studio album, scheduled for release this spring.

I was confused by the sound for the first 10-15 seconds, but then I got comfortable with the beat. I really like it. As far as the actual rapping, I wasn't 100% with it. I'm interested to hear more, though.

I can't really get with this. Track sounds a bit dated as far as the beat is concerned, and Everyone just followed the same concept and everything sounds average.

Great to see the veterans emcees like Prince Po and UG linking up with upcoming producer ONE-TAKE on this banger. From the concept to the beats to the rhymes, it's good to see hip-hop of this caliber get the exposure it deserves!
