OnCue - New Religion
Artist: OnCue
Producer: Party Supplies & Just Blaze
Album: None (Promo Single)
Label: AtWork Management
If Kanye’s No Church in the Wild had a little brother, it’d sound a whole lot like OnCue‘s latest. Rising to be slated as one of Brooklyn’s finest, the emcee keeps it funky like the “sweat from ya upper lip” with the release of the Adam Ross-directed new video single New Religion. OnCue joins Fool’s Gold artist/producer Party Supplies and the infamous Just Blaze to expound on the way of the 21st century adult with a YOLO (you only live once) motif running throughout the party-centric record. In just three minutes, Cuey’s edgy voice and hyped cadence reminds you of life’s pleasure with a couple of reasons to repent, then sin again (word to Lil’ Kim). Once again it sounds like Cuey has stepped above his expectations to bring listeners a high-energy lifestyle track that invites you to a night of fellowship with vodka spirits and pretty Vicki Secret angels. New Religion is set to appear on a forthcoming, untitled project that is set for release sometime this fall.

Cuey continue to deliver the goods. One look at the production credits and its obvious he is on the right track to the up and up.

OnCue comes through with another good lyrical performance. I like the fast beat by Cuey and the chorus is pretty fly too. This dude has major potential. Banger!!!

Agreed ... it wasn't that i was expecting more or that the bar was set to high, I love cuey, but my ears were expecting a different sound, grittier maybe, different beats, different drums ... but real recognize real so its a great song and i'm lookin forward to him blowing up |

The video was definitely interesting, and the Just Blaze Co-production is as dope as always, but I couldn't really feel the content or delivery from OnCue.
