OnCue - If I Could Feel
Artist: OnCue
Producer: Chris Webber
Album: Cuey Sings the Blues
Label: AtWork Management
The 189th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of OnCue, the Connecticut native who earned reader approval for mixtape cuts Friends and Crashing Down. On his brand new, exclusive If I Could Feel freestyle, the AtWork Management rapper flows over a Chris Webber-produced instrumental originally featured on Nas’ Surviving the Times. OnCue is currently preparing for the August release of his new, rock-themed street album, Mick Boogie, Terry Urban, Chris Truth & 2DBZ Present: Cuey Sings the Blues.
Readers can download a copy of the newly-released In the Booth (Volume 5), featuring exclusive freestyles 121 through 150, here! Volumes one, two, three and four are available for download here, here, here and here!

The only thing that could make me dig this OnCue freestyle feature more than I do is another few minutes. Great beat selection (forget about that Nas record - it was from a Greatest Hits album), great command of his rhymes, and overall a good impression made. Kid has skills.

A lot of the time I don't really like the exclusives. But this one's great.

It's hard to knock a flow like this. Cue starts strong and doesn't let up for a second - this is wall to wall solid rhymes. Definitely a solid addition to the series, props to Cuey.

I like his style, and delivery on this song. Beat is still great, and worked well with his tone of voice.
