Fresh off the release of his latest mixtape, Omen returns to our pages with a standout cut off the project. Mama Told Me finds the DreamVille affiliate crafting a pensive piano instrumental to back him as he expresses his gratitude for his mother’s support over the years. Complete with a guest verse from his Pity collaborator, rap hitmaker J. Cole, this joint is just one of many quality jams to be found on Omen’s Afraid of Heights street album, released this Friday and available now online.

Song is dope. Concept is great! Most of us can relate to something that our mother told us that we're still holding on to. Omen and J.cole showed up on the track as well.

J. Cole knows how to pick em, I thoroughly enjoyed this entire mix tape and I gotta say, it's easily a 4 star solid album in my iPod.

The production on here reminds me of an old early 90's video game and gets really tired-sounding pretty quickly. I don't particularly like Omen's flow on this track. J. Cole was a bit better. This is aaaiight.
