Omarion - I Get It In
Artist: Omarion
Featuring: Gucci Mane
Producer: Tank
Album: Ollusion
Label: Maybach Music Group
Apparently Omarion’s icebox has finally thawed. Almost three years after the young R&B star became a grown man on his sophomore album 21, Omarion is back with his new single, the marching-band banger I Get It In. Over some whistle heavy production that I first guessed was the work of Swizz Beatz (wrong, the production was done by Tank) and featuring a guest verse from the suddenly omnipresent Gucci Mane, I Get It In is Omarion’s attempt to bring his always smooth sound to the club. If O wants to unseat the likes of Chris Brown and Trey Songz from the King of Young R&B throne, he’ll have to do better than this. Anyone disagree? I Get It In is the new single off his upcoming album Ollusion, set to drop November, 24.

Ummmm...I think Omarion can do much better. But I think this is still a club banger. I like it!

Not sure about the low ratings on here, think about this one in the club, LOUD speakers, and a couple drinks in you. Add a simple bass line to get the girls moving and this is everyones new favorite song. The overall song is simple and fun, meant for the club. O will save his ballads for the album, but this is a hit for now. This will be on everyone's iPod within a month.

Why does every R&B singer who has a hot club cut on their hands (cough, Mario, cough) feel the need to place a call to Gucci Mane for the guest 16? Really? You couldnt' do any better than Gucci with all your connects? Luda would have been a nice choice. Maybe, Jeezey? Oh well. This might hit, but I doubt it.

I actually like the version with Lil Wayne better, but this is still a good song...in my opinion. This is something totally different on O's part, but I think it just might work in his favor. When I first heard it I wasn't really feeling it, but I listened to it a 2nd time and caught myself vibing to it. Maybe I'm a little bias cause I'm a fan of Omarion's, but that doesn't matter. Overall this is a hit or miss record for him. I def think he's taking a risk with this song and either people will fall in love with it or hate it.

I was not feeling this at all. Omarion needs to come with some singing and a nice smooth sound. And I agree with Z. Gucci Mane?? Really? There are so many better options out there.

I pretty much ditto all the comments above. I think the production and hook on this are guaranteed to get clubs jumping but there's nothing really special here.
I also agree with Z. If I hear Gucci Mane on 1 more song I'm going to quit listening to the radio. What ever happened to the days he used to release 3 albums in 2 years and never sold more than 100,000 copies? Where "So Icy" was his biggest single and it wasn't even on the Billboard Hot 100? I don't know. He certainly isn't any more talented. |

I actually enjoyed this, I think it is a great choice for a first single. And how in the heck did Gucci become so popular all of a sudden, I used to hate him, now I hear him so much I can't help but respect him.

No Omarion, No!
Yeah the beat is not bad but its definitively not enough to save this song. Omarion does not fit this song at all....and dont even let me get started on gucci......i am officially declaring him as the worst rapper of all time!!! i seriously cant think of anyone else that is worse (except for maybe jim jones...) |

Struggling ever since his break up with Bow Wow...
Someone needs to write him a good song that do his voice some justice. Gucci Mane was not needed for this or any other track as far as my opinion goes. There will always be an audience for this type of muscular, bass-pounding dancefloor jam but there is just nothing too memorable about it and I don't see this as a HIT. |

-_- This is sad... why is Omarion NOT singing? And if he wants to rap, why copy Lil Wayne?
Gucci's mediocre flow drives me nuts. Just imagine every classic rap song ever made, rapped in that retarded, repetitive metric: (Renegade) "Since I'm in a position/ to talk to these kids and/ they listen I ain't no/ politician but I'll/ kick it with 'em a min/ute (he would have to split the word for it to fill in his..."flow") And it would go on like that until the end. It's beyond me how people can stand it. The beat is the only reason for anyone to play this in the clubs. |

I'm agree with DJ Z 100%, probably because we were talking about this on the phone the other day. I'm not hating on Gucci Mane, but you're a young R&B star who could probably get anyone to rap on your track and you go with Gucci? Really? Really? Not a strong start for 0.

Finally, some Gucci hate. I don't know how he got so popular. I guess he is the most talented of the disgraceful southern sub-genre (soulja, OJ, shawty lo).
But really, I can't wait for him to burn out. Hot beat tho. O's good too |

I wish Gucci made a track with OJ da Juiceman, Shawty Lo, Tony Yayo & Soulja Boy. It would set a new standard for god-awfulness.

Gucci's never been very popular but his musics definitely grown on me since his "So Icy" days. I thought his verse was solid keeping in mind his lyrical incapabilities BUT Omarion wasnt very good at all, thus.......

Yea, I Agree with Nathan, Z, and anyone who gave this song 2 stars.
The beat wasn't that bad, actually pretty hot but the hook was lame. With a nice and smooth voice why Omarion?! Why would you feel the need to sing like your rapping? I don't need to talk about Gucci, you can just guess on how I feel about him. |

Hot beat i agree but i think O could of held this down on his own!! Lil Wayne version was def better than this since i don't know why people keep getting Gucci Mane on their songs???? I mean there are way better rappers you could have got!! I think Game would of sounded good on this i haven't heard from him in a while!!

@Phantom - Tony Yayo aint 'that' bad...
This track is decent, nothing id put in my rotation, though worthy of a couple of listens. Gucci Mane cant be charging much for his guest features... Even if he's only charging $50 for 16 bars, id still consider it a waste of money |

I dig the song. I think it's a hott club banger. It will go hard in the club and it's nice on the radio to ride to. It's not very melodic, but as a writer, I can tell it wasn't meant to be. Kinda dirty, grimy sounding. This is just from WhispheR though. I'll have to see what the rest of the crew says.

Oh, and I just said something about Gucci getting on everybody's songs the other day on twitter. Gotta respect his hustle, even if you don't like his music. Face it, he's everywhere, so either he's got a great manager, publicist, or whoever, or people are requesting him.

hot track but at the sametime i felt omarion was kinda wack...gucci spit a typical gucci verse n i thought it was hot..but u can definitly see the young money influence on omarion...lil wayne was actually on the original version of this song (instead of gucci) b4 omarion was dropped from the label...if u bump it at da clubs down south its hot..but feel omarian is a swaggerjacker..i cant stand these artists now days biting lil wayne's whole style, his flow, vocals, adlibs, persona etc.
omarion's copycat ways stoodout even more on the original version with wayne on it cuz u can directly compare the 2. |
