Though both of Omar Cruz’ previous features (Gangsta Music, To The Top) received positive reviews from our readers, neither of them truly had that “hit single” appeal. Fortunately, it looks like the third time’s going to be the charm. On this new cut, delivered to us sans tags by DJ Ill Will, the Mexican-American emcee teams up with fellow Latino rapper Pitbull to pose the eternal question: Where The Booty At? Thanks to Frank E‘s club-ready beat, the answer will doubtless soon be, “wherever this record is played.” Simply put, Where The Booty At? should be more than just a “potential” single pretty soon. Though WTBA may not meet as warm a reception in the Booth as the aforementioned features, it will most definitely help Cruz achieve his current goal of finally getting his debut album, Sign of the Cruz, a solid release date.

Well, Omar got it right. When you want to make a record that involves BOOTY, there is no call you should place other than to Mr. 305 himself. Dope in the clubs, but not so much anywhere else.
Shouts to the homie, ILL WILL. |

WE all know songs like this can't do too bad in pop clubs. Something she can shake her booty to. It's a formula for the production that is getting old to me. However for it's purpose, its should work well.

This sounds like a classic Pitbull dance track, but Cruz adds a different flavor to the track wit his lower-pitched vocals. I love Pitbull's vibe, and his verse and hook make the track. Omar's parts do add a different aspect to the track that sets it apart from bein just another Pitbull dance track. His grimy flow actually works well on here.

I had to give "Where The Booty At" a couple listens because it wasn't my typical Omar Cruz. Omar has been known to rap about topics that are street related and down with the barrio. Here, he's doing a song that is gonna have some Chicano rap fans question his loyalty. However, I must point out that 1) this is NOT a reggaeton song, and 2) Omar has specifically said in his records that he has no interest in doing reggaeton. Anyway, hats off to O Dot and Pitbull for adding a new meaning to the noun "treasure" that does not involve pirating, sunken ships and fairy dust. I still find it odd for Omar to do a club song, but maybe it's because I've grown to like his underground hardcore raps. Now that he's secured Mr. 305, I can safely say that this Pocos Pero Locos affiliate will make quite a "comeback" for the summer.

So tired of Pit with his same ol style. Everything sounds just like the last 1. Boring. Does the trash man run 2day? Cuz this is garbage.
